Abstract

A method for picture processing is described. A first tracking area is obtained. A second tracking area is also obtained. The method includes beginning to track the first tracking area and the second tracking area. Picture processing is performed once a portion of the first tracking area overlapping the second tracking area passes a threshold.

Claims (32)

1 . A method, comprising:

tracking a first tracking area corresponding to an object associated with at least a first frame of a video sequence;

determining, in the first frame, an amount of overlap between the first tracking area and a second area defined at least in part by an action line associated with the first frame; and

increasing a number of frames to record in response to determining that the amount of overlap between the first tracking area and the second area passes a threshold.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the amount of overlap passes the threshold based on the first tracking area crossing the action line.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising displaying the action line.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action line is set by a user.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving user input defining the action line relative to at least one frame.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a user selection of the first tracking area.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the user selection is based on a shape.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the shape is selected by a user.

9 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the user selection is based on a selection of the object.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein tracking the first tracking area includes tracking the object.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action line is part of a bounding box.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein increasing the number of frames including recording a burst of frames.

13 . An apparatus, comprising:

at least one memory; and

at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and configured to:

track a first tracking area corresponding to an object associated with at least a first frame of a video sequence;

determine, in the first frame, an amount of overlap between the first tracking area and a second area defined at least in part by an action line associated with the first frame; and

increase a number of frames to record in response to determining that the amount of overlap between the first tracking area and the second area passes a threshold.

14 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the amount of overlap passes the threshold based on the first tracking area crossing the action line.

15 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to cause the action line to be displayed.

16 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the action line is set by a user.

17 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to receive user input defining the action line relative to at least one frame.

18 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to receive a user selection of the first tracking area.

19 . The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the user selection is based on a shape.

20 . The apparatus of claim 19 , wherein the shape is selected by a user.

21 . The apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the user selection is based on a selection of the object.

22 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein, to track the first tracking area, the at least one processor is configured to track the object.

23 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the action line is part of a bounding box.

24 . The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein, to increase the number of frames, the at least one processor is configured to record a burst of frames.
