Abstract

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for controlling irrigation of plant media in a grow space in response to measurement of condensed water from air in the grow space. Irrigation supply volume may be set in response to a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water. The condensed water may result from evaporation and transpiration in the grow space.

Claims (28)

1 . A system for controlling irrigation of plants in a grow space, the system comprising:

one or more memories storing instructions;

one or more processors, operatively coupled to the one or more memories, for executing the instructions to

control irrigation of media of the plants in response to a measurement of condensed water from air in the grow space.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein controlling irrigation comprises increasing irrigation in response to a relationship between a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water and a threshold volume.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein controlling irrigation comprises setting irrigation volume in response to a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water.

4 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a dehumidifier for condensing water from air from the grow space to produce the condensed water.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the condensed water results from evaporation and transpiration in the grow space.

6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a water volume measurement device for measuring the condensed water.

7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the water volume measurement device comprises a flow meter, a flow totalizer, a tank with a level sensor, or supply and return air temperature and humidity sensors.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the grow space is a controlled agricultural environment.

9 . A method for controlling irrigation of plants in a grow space, the method comprising:

controlling irrigation of media of the plants in response to a measurement of condensed water from air in the grow space.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein controlling irrigation comprises increasing irrigation in response to a relationship between a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water and a threshold volume.

11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein controlling irrigation comprises setting irrigation volume in response to a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water.

12 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising a dehumidifier for condensing water from air from the grow space to produce the condensed water.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the condensed water results from evaporation and transpiration in the grow space.

14 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising a water volume measurement device for measuring the condensed water.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the water volume measurement device comprises a flow meter, a flow totalizer, a tank with a level sensor, or supply and return air temperature and humidity sensors.

16 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the grow space is a controlled agricultural environment.

17 . One or more non-transitory computer readable media storing one or more instructions for controlling irrigation of plants in a grow space, wherein the one or more instructions, when executed, cause one or more computing devices to control irrigation of media of the plants in response to a measurement of condensed water from air in the grow space.

18 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein controlling irrigation comprises increasing irrigation in response to a relationship between a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water and a threshold volume.

19 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein controlling irrigation comprises setting irrigation volume in response to a volume based on the measurement of the condensed water.

20 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed, cause the one or more computing devices to cause a dehumidifier to condense water from air from the grow space to produce the condensed water.

21 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein the condensed water results from evaporation and transpiration in the grow space.

22 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed, cause the one or more computing devices to cause a water volume measurement device to measure the condensed water.

23 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 22 , wherein the water volume measurement device comprises a flow meter, a flow totalizer, a tank with a level sensor, or supply and return air temperature and humidity sensors.

24 . The one or more non-transitory computer readable media of claim 17 , wherein the grow space is a controlled agricultural environment.
