Abstract

Gaming systems and method that provide a wheel section group selection feature including a displayed wheel including a plurality of sections and displayed indications of different player selectable groups of the sections for a play of a game. For the play of the game, the gaming system enables the player to select one of the different selectable groups of sections for that play of the game. The gaming system determines any awards for the play of the game based on an indicated section of the wheel, the award amount displayed on the section, and based on the player selected section group.

8 . The gaming system of claim 1 , wherein when executed by the processor, the instructions cause the processor to cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of a first one of the different groups of the sections comprising adjacent sections of the single wheel and an indication of a second one of the different groups of sections comprising spaced apart sections of the single wheel.

9 . A gaming system comprising:

a housing comprising an openable access door;

a security monitoring circuit within the housing and configured to monitor the access door, and that causes a signal to be sent to a remote server when the access door is opened;

a power distribution component within the housing;

a plurality of output devices comprising a display device supported by the housing and a speaker supported by the housing;

a plurality of input devices supported by the housing, said input devices comprising a touch screen coupled to the display device;

a sound card within the housing and operable with the speaker;

a processor within the housing; and

a trusted memory device supported by the housing and configured to provide a gaming regulatory authority a root trusted authority that can be tracked and verified as original, the trusted memory device storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

cause a display, by a display device, of a single wheel comprising a plurality sections, wherein the sections of the single wheel are respectively associated with a plurality of different symbols;

cause a display, by the display device, of indications a first group of sections of the single wheel comprising a first quantity of the sections of the single wheel and a second group of sections of the single wheel comprising a second quantity of the sections of the single wheel, wherein the first quantity is greater than the second quantity;

cause a display, by the display device, of an indication of a quantity of multipliers applied to the indicated symbols if the selected group of sections is the second group of sections and if the indicated section is one of the sections of the single wheel of the second group of sections, wherein the quantity of multipliers is equal to a difference between the first quantity and the second quantity, wherein the indication of the quantity of multipliers is without an indication of the values of the multipliers;
