Abstract

A wireless device may receive configuration parameter(s) indicating that a first search space and a second search space are used together for reception of downlink control information. The wireless device may initiate a random access process comprising receiving a random access response message. The wireless device may receive first downlink control information based on: monitoring in a CORESET based on the first search space and in a first timing; and monitoring in a CORESET based on the second search space in a second timing that is after the first timing. The wireless device may be in DRX Active time from reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

Claims (42)

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device from a base station, at least one configuration parameter indicating that a first search space and a second search space are used together for reception of downlink control information;

initiating a random access process comprising receiving a random access response message;

receiving, from the base station and in response to receiving the random access response message, first downlink control information based on:

monitoring in a control resource set (CORESET) based on the first search space and in a first timing; and

monitoring in a CORESET based on the second search space and in a second timing that is after the first timing; and

wherein the wireless device is in a discontinuous reception (DRX) Active Time from a reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first search space is associated with a first CORESET; and

the second search space is associated with a second CORESET.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first search space and the second search space are wireless device specific search spaces.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein a parameter in first configuration parameters of the first search space has the same value as a corresponding parameter in second configuration parameters of the second search space.

5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising, based on being in the DRX Active Time, monitoring a control channel from the reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first downlink control information comprises scheduling information.

7. The method of claim 6 , further comprising transmitting or receiving a transport block based on the scheduling information.

8. A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive, from a base station, at least one configuration parameter indicating that a first search space and a second search space are used together for reception of downlink control information;

initiate a random access process comprising receiving a random access response message;

receive, from the base station and in response to receiving the random access response message, first downlink control information based on:

monitoring in a control resource set (CORESET) based on the first search space and in a first timing; and

monitoring in a CORESET based on the second search space and in a second timing that is after the first timing; and

wherein the wireless device is in a discontinuous reception (DRX) Active Time from a reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

9. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein:

the first search space is associated with a first CORESET; and

the second search space is associated with a second CORESET.

10. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the first search space and the second search space are wireless device specific search spaces.

11. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein a parameter in first configuration parameters of the first search space has the same value as a corresponding parameter in second configuration parameters of the second search space.

12. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to, based on being in the DRX Active Time, monitor a control channel from the reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

13. The wireless device of claim 8 , wherein the first downlink control information comprises scheduling information.

14. The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to transmit or receive a transport block based on the scheduling information.

15. A system comprising:

a base station; and

a wireless device comprising: one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to: receive, from the base station, at least one configuration parameter indicating that a first search space and a second search space are used together for reception of downlink control information; initiate a random access process comprising receiving a random access response message; receive, in response to receiving the random access response message, first downlink control information based on: monitoring in a control resource set (CORESET) based on the first search space and in a first timing; and monitoring in a CORESET based on the second search space and in a second timing that is after the first timing; and wherein the wireless device is in a discontinuous reception (DRX) Active Time from a reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein:

the first search space is associated with a first CORESET; and

the second search space is associated with a second CORESET.

17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the first search space and the second search space are wireless device specific search spaces.

18. The system of claim 15 , wherein a parameter in first configuration parameters of the first search space has the same value as a corresponding parameter in second configuration parameters of the second search space.

19. The system of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to, based on being in the DRX Active Time, monitor a control channel from the reception timing of the random access response message until the second timing.

20. The system of claim 15 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further cause the wireless device to transmit or receive a transport block based on the first downlink control information.
