Abstract

A communication device and method can include one or more processors operatively coupled to memory, a sensor and an output device, where the one or more processors to perform operations of identifying target person locations using internet searching and short range communication enabled devices such as Bluetooth LE devices.

Claims (43)

1. A communication device, comprising:

a display;

a memory configured to store instructions; and

a processor coupled to the memory and display, wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions thereby causing the processor to perform operations comprising:

receiving a voice sample of a target person;

identifying the target person by comparing the voice sample to stored voice samples in a database;

searching the internet to identify social media posts either by the target person or that mention the target person;

receiving multiple voice samples from the identified social media posts;

selecting a subset of voice samples from the multiple voice samples that are from the target person; and

sending a notification signal if the subset of voice samples is selected.

2. The communication device according to claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:

identifying the locations of the subset of voice samples.

3. The communication device according to claim 2 , wherein the operations further comprise:

storing the locations in a second memory.

4. The communication device according to claim 3 , wherein the operations further comprise:

sending the locations to a remote device.

5. The communication device of claim 3 , wherein the operations further comprise:

sending the locations to the display.

6. The communication device of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:

receiving a first time stamp associated with the voice sample of the target person.

7. The communication device of claim 6 , wherein the operation of receiving multiple voice samples from the identified social media posts, receives the multiple voice samples that were recorded within a threshold time increment of the first time stamp.

8. The communication device according to claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

choosing a target voice sample from the multiple voice samples, wherein the target voice sample is the voice sample from the multiple voice samples that was recorded closest to the first time stamp.

9. The communication device according to claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining a first location of the target voice sample.

10. The communication device according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:

sending the first location to the display.

11. A method of locating a target sound, comprising:

receiving an audio sample of a target sound;

searching the internet to identify stored internet audio files that match the target sound;

identifying the location of the internet audio files that match the target sound; and

sending a notification signal if any stored internet audio files are located that match the target sound.

12. The method according to claim 11 , wherein the operations further comprise:

storing the location in a second memory.

13. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise:

sending the location to a remote device.

14. The method according to claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:

sending the location to the display.

15. The method according to claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise:

selecting the most recent identified stored internet audio files that match the target sound and saving the most recent identified stored internet audio file's location information to memory.

16. The method according to claim 15 , wherein the most recent identified stored internet audio file's location information includes GPS coordinates.

17. The method according to claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise:

sending the GPS coordinates to the display.
