Abstract

A method, computer program product, and computing system for enabling usage of a conversational application by a plurality of users; gathering usage data concerning usage of the conversational application by the plurality of users; defining a visual representation of the conversational application; and overlaying the usage data onto the visual representation of the conversational application to generate visual traffic flow data.

Claims (94)

1. A computer-implemented method, executed on a computing device, comprising:

enabling usage of a conversational application by a plurality of users, wherein the conversational application is defined using a plurality of functional modules, wherein each functional module of the plurality of functional modules effectuates a logical function;

gathering usage data concerning usage of the conversational application by the plurality of users for each of the plurality of functional modules;

defining a visual representation of the conversational application for each of the plurality of functional modules;

overlaying the usage data onto the visual representation of the conversational application to generate visual traffic flow data for each of the plurality of functional modules, wherein the visual traffic flow data is configured to define a quantity of users intentionally leaving one or more of the plurality of functional modules; and

monitoring an outbound load balancing of a plurality of individual nodes within the conversational application based upon, at least in part, the visual traffic flow data.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the visual representation of the conversational application is a logic flow of the conversational application.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the visual traffic flow data is configured to further define a quantity of users leaving the conversational application.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the plurality of functional modules includes:

one or more predefined functional modules; and

one or more user-defined functional modules.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the visual traffic flow data is configured to further define one or more of:

a flow of the plurality of users through the visual representation of the conversational application;

a quantity of users entering one or more of the plurality of functional modules;

a percentage of users entering one or more of the plurality of functional modules;

a percentage of users leaving one or more of the plurality of functional modules; and

a percentage of users leaving the conversational application.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the plurality of users includes:

one or more end users.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the plurality of users includes:

one or more testers.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein the conversational application includes one or more of:

a multi-channel conversational application; and

a multi-modality conversational application.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 wherein the multi-channel conversational application includes one or more of:

an IVR channel;

an SMS channel;

a mobile-based channel; and

a web-based channel.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 8 wherein the multi-modality conversational application includes one or more of:

an audio-based communication modality; and

a visual-based communication modality.

11. A computer program product residing on a non-transitory computer readable medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

enabling usage of a conversational application by a plurality of users, wherein the conversational application is defined using a plurality of functional modules, wherein each functional module of the plurality of functional modules effectuates a logical function;

gathering usage data concerning usage of the conversational application by the plurality of users for each of the plurality of functional modules;

defining a visual representation of the conversational application for each of the plurality of functional modules;

overlaying the usage data onto the visual representation of the conversational application to generate visual traffic flow data for each of the plurality of functional modules, wherein the visual traffic flow data is configured to define a quantity of users intentionally entering one or more of the plurality of functional modules; and

monitoring an outbound load balancing of a plurality of individual nodes within the conversational application based upon, at least in part, the visual traffic flow data.

12. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the visual representation of the conversational application is a logic flow of the conversational application.

13. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the visual traffic flow data is configured to further define a quantity of users leaving the conversational application.

14. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the plurality of functional modules includes:

one or more predefined functional modules; and

one or more user-defined functional modules.

15. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the visual traffic flow data is configured to further define one or more of:

a flow of the plurality of users through the visual representation of the conversational application;

a percentage of users entering one or more of the plurality of functional modules;

a quantity of users leaving one or more of the plurality of functional modules;

a percentage of users leaving one or more of the plurality of functional modules; and

a percentage of users leaving the conversational application.

16. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the plurality of users includes: one or more end users.

17. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the plurality of users includes: one or more testers.

18. The computer program product of claim 11 wherein the conversational application includes one or more of:
