Abstract

An example operation includes one or more of providing to a charging station a distance desired to be driven by a transport and determining, by the charging station, an amount of energy to retrieve from the transport such that a residual amount of energy in the transport is equivalent to the distance desired to be driven.

Claims (48)

1. A method, comprising:

receiving, by a charging station, a current weight of a transport;

calculating, by the charging station, a current energy usage of the transport based on the current weight of the transport;

comparing, by the charging station, the current energy usage to a previous energy usage; and

identifying, by the charging station, a condition of the transport from the comparing.

2. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

receiving, by the charging station, a notification of one or more occupants or cargo items to be added to and carried by the transport.

3. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

decreasing, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport by an amount of energy based on one or more occupants or cargo items to be added to and carried by the transport.

4. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

receiving, by the charging station, a notification of one or more occupants or cargo items to be removed from and no longer carried by the transport.

5. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

increasing, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport by an amount of energy based on one or more occupants or cargo items to be removed from the transport.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the condition of the transport includes the age of the transport.

7. The method of claim 1 , comprising:

calculating, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport such that a residual amount of energy in the transport equals an amount of energy required to drive a distance.

8. A charging station for a transport, the charging station comprising:

a processor that when executing one or more instructions stored in an associated memory is configured to:

receive, by the charging station, a current weight of the transport;

calculate, by the charging station, a current energy usage of the transport based on the current weight of the transport;

compare, by the charging station, the current energy usage to a previous energy usage; and

identify, by the charging station, a condition of the transport from the comparison.

9. The charging station of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

receive, by the charging station, a notification of one or more occupants or cargo items to be added to and carried by the transport.

10. The charging station of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

decrease, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport by an amount of energy based on one or more occupants or cargo items to be added to and carried by the transport.

11. The charging station of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

receive, by the charging station, a notification of one or more occupants or cargo items to be removed from and no longer carried by the transport.

12. The charging station of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

increase, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport by an amount of energy based on one or more occupants or cargo items to be removed from the transport.

13. The charging station of claim 8 , wherein the condition of the transport includes the age of the transport.

14. The charging station of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

calculate, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport such that a residual amount of energy in the transport equals an amount of energy required to drive a distance.

15. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising one or more instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform:

receiving, by a charging station, a current weight of a transport;

calculating, by the charging station, a current energy usage of the transport based on the current weight of the transport;

comparing, by the charging station, the current energy usage to a previous energy usage; and

identifying, by the charging station, a condition of the transport from the comparing.

16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

receiving, by the charging station, a notification of one or more occupants or cargo items to be added to and carried by the transport.

17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

decreasing, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport by an amount of energy based on one or more occupants or cargo items to be added to and carried by the transport.

18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

receiving, by the charging station, a notification of one or more occupants or cargo items to be removed from and no longer carried by the transport.

19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

increasing, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport by an amount of energy based on one or more occupants or cargo items to be removed from the transport.

20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

calculating, by the charging station, an amount of energy to extract from the transport such that a residual amount of energy in the transport equals an amount of energy required to drive a distance.
