Abstract

A display data generation method used in a computer including an output module, includes generating display data of page numbers for scrollably displaying page numbers of a plurality of pages each containing predetermined item information, to output the display data of page numbers from the output module, retrieving page information indicating a same number of pages as a number of page numbers displayed in a distance corresponding to a distance between two points in a display region in which the page numbers are displayed when the two points are specified by the user, wherein the number of page numbers are calculated based on the distance between the two points and the distance between adjacent page numbers displayed in the display region, and generating item display data for displaying item information contained in the pages indicated in the retrieved page information, to output the item display data from the output module.

Claims (34)

1. A page display method performed by an electronic device including a display with a touch panel, the page display method comprising:

generating display data, of a plurality of page indicators of a plurality of pages, for displaying in a scrollable manner each page indicator, each page containing predetermined item information, and each page indicator indicating one of the plurality of pages;

displaying the page indicators in a first display region of the display in the scrollable manner; and

in response to receiving position information for only a first page indicator among the displayed page indicators specified by a touch input in the first display region to select the first page indicator, generating item display data and simultaneously displaying the predetermined item information contained in each of a first plurality of the pages corresponding to a first plurality of the page indicators including the selected first page indicator, wherein the first plurality of the pages includes a first page corresponding to the selected first page indicator and additional pages having page indicators close to the selected first page indicator, wherein

the page indicators of the additional pages are identified based on a descending order of closeness to the selected first page indicator such that the first plurality of the pages includes at least two pages preceding the first page and at least two pages following the first page.

2. The page display method according to claim 1 , wherein

the page indicators of the additional pages are within a predetermined number of pages from the selected first page indicator.

3. The page display method according to claim 1 , wherein

the page indicators correspond to page numbers.

4. The page display method according to claim 1 , wherein

the touch input is a flick operation.

5. The page display method according to claim 1 , wherein

the predetermined item information is information corresponding to a stage in a quest or information corresponding to an enemy in a battle in a computer-based game.

6. The page display method according to claim 1 , further comprising

displaying the predetermined item information contained in the first plurality of the pages in a second display region of the display, the second display region being different from the first display region, and the predetermined item information being scrollable in the second display region.

7. A page display system comprising:

a server; and

an electronic device including circuitry and a display with a touch panel, the circuitry being configured to execute:

based on data received from the server, generating display data, of a plurality of page indicators of a plurality of pages, for displaying in a scrollable manner each page indicator, each page containing predetermined item information, and each page indicator indicating one of the plurality of pages,

displaying the page indicators in a first display region of the display in the scrollable manner, and

in response to receiving position information for only a first page indicator among the displayed page indicators specified by a touch input in the first display region to select the first page indicator, generating item display data and simultaneously displaying the predetermined item information contained in each of a first plurality of the pages corresponding to a first plurality of the page indicators including the selected first page indicator, wherein the first plurality of the pages includes a first page corresponding to the selected first page indicator and additional pages having page indicators close to the selected first page indicator, wherein

the page indicators of the additional pages are identified based on a descending order of closeness to the selected first page indicator such that the first plurality of the pages includes at least two pages preceding the first page and at least two pages following the first page.

8. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing thereon a program that, when executed by an electronic device including a display with a touch panel, causes the electronic device to execute:

generating display data, of a plurality of page indicators of a plurality of pages, for displaying in a scrollable manner each page indicator, each page containing predetermined item information, and each page indicator indicating one of the plurality of pages;

displaying the page indicators in a first display region of the display in the scrollable manner; and

in response to receiving position information for only a first page indicator among the displayed page indicators specified by a touch input in the first display region to select the first page indicator, generating item display data and simultaneously displaying the predetermined item information contained in each of a first plurality of the pages corresponding to a first plurality of the page indicators including the selected first page indicator, wherein the first plurality of the pages includes a first page corresponding to the selected first page indicator and additional pages having page indicators close to the selected first page indicator, wherein

the page indicators of the additional pages are identified based on a descending order of closeness to the selected first page indicator such that the first plurality of the pages includes at least two pages preceding the first page and at least two pages following the first page.

9. An electronic device comprising:

a display with a touch panel; and

circuitry configured to execute:

generating display data, of a plurality of page indicators of a plurality of pages, for displaying in a scrollable manner each page indicator, each page containing predetermined item information, and each page indicator indicating one of the plurality of pages,

displaying the page indicators in a first display region of the display in the scrollable manner, and

in response to receiving position information for only a first page indicator among the displayed page indicators specified by a touch input in the first display region to select the first page indicator, generating item display data and simultaneously displaying the predetermined item information contained in each of a first plurality of the pages corresponding to a first plurality of the page indicators including the selected first page indicator, wherein the first plurality of the pages includes a first page corresponding to the selected first page indicator and additional pages having page indicators close to the selected first page indicator, wherein

the page indicators of the additional pages are identified based on a descending order of closeness to the selected first page indicator such that the first plurality of the pages includes at least two pages preceding the first page and at least two pages following the first page.
