Uplink Data via Packet Data Network Connection
A mobility management entity (MME) receives, from a packet data network gateway (PGW), an indication that transmission of uplink data via a packet data network (PDN) connection of a wireless device is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed. The MME sends, to the wireless device, an attach accept message. The attach accept message is for establishing the PDN connection of the wireless device. The attach accept message indicates that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a mobility management entity (MME), from a packet data network gateway (PGW), an indication that transmission of uplink data via a packet data network (PDN) connection of a wireless device is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed; and
sending, by the MME to the wireless device, an attach accept message:
for establishing the PDN connection of the wireless device; and
indicating that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, from the wireless device, an attach request message for establishing the PDN connection of the wireless device.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the indication of the aerial service comprises a civil aviation authority uncrewed aerial vehicle identifier of the wireless device.
5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed comprises an authentication and/or authorization result associated with the aerial service.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed is received from the PGW in a create session response message.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the attach accept message comprises an evolved packet system bearer context message indicating that the transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the attach accept message comprises an evolved packet system bearer context message comprising a protocol configuration options indicating that the transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
9 . A method comprising:
sending, by a packet data network (PDN) gateway (PGW) to a mobility management entity (MME), an indication that transmission of uplink data via a PDN connection of a wireless device is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed;
receiving, by the PGW from the wireless device, one or more uplink packets associated with the PDN connection.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed is sent to the MME in a create session response message.
11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising receiving, by the PGW from the MME, a create session request message comprising an indication of an aerial service.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the indication of the aerial service comprises a civil aviation authority uncrewed aerial vehicle identifier of the wireless device.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed comprises an authentication and/or authorization result associated with the aerial service.
14 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising memory storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
receiving, by a mobility management entity (MME), from a packet data network gateway (PGW), an indication that transmission of uplink data via a packet data network (PDN) connection of a wireless device is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed; and
sending, by the MME to the wireless device, an attach accept message:
for establishing the PDN connection of the wireless device; and
indicating that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , further comprising receiving, from the wireless device, an attach request message for establishing the PDN connection of the wireless device, wherein the attach request message comprises a protocol configuration options indicating an aerial service.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the indication of the aerial service comprises a civil aviation authority uncrewed aerial vehicle identifier of the wireless device.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed comprises an authentication and/or authorization result associated with the aerial service.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed is received from the PGW in a create session response message.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the attach accept message comprises an evolved packet system bearer context message indicating that the transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the attach accept message comprises an evolved packet system bearer context message comprising a protocol configuration options indicating that the transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is not allowed until the wireless device receives an indication that transmission of uplink data via the PDN connection is allowed.
