CROSS-APPLICATION CONTENT PLAYER
A method includes receiving, during playback of a content item in a first user interface for a content player associated with a first mobile application, an indication of a user request pertaining to a second mobile application, identifying a play state of the content item at a time corresponding to the user request, causing the playback of the content item to continue in a second user interface for the content player associated with the second mobile application based on the play state, detecting an input event initiating sharing of the content item, the input event corresponding to a user interaction with the content player, and causing the content item to be shared with a second content player in response to detecting the input event.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving, during playback of a content item in a first user interface for a content player associated with a first mobile application, an indication of a user request pertaining to a second mobile application, wherein the first user interface is presented on a client device;
identifying a play state of the content item at a time corresponding to the user request;
causing, by a processing device, the playback of the content item to continue in a second user interface for the content player associated with the second mobile application based on the play state, wherein the second user interface is presented on the client device, and wherein the content player provides the playback of the content item in the second user interface in a continuous manner;
detecting an input event initiating sharing of the content item, the input event corresponding to a user interaction with the content player; and
causing the content item to be shared with a second content player in response to detecting the input event.
