Abstract

Provided herein are methods and compositions related to Prevotella EVs useful as therapeutic agents.

Claims (21)

182 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising Prevotella bacterial extracellular vesicles (EVs) isolated from Prevotella Strain B 50329 (NRRL accession number B 50329).

183 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 182 , wherein the composition comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

184 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 182 , wherein the composition comprises at least 1×10 6 Prevotella bacterial extracellular vesicles.

185 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 182 , wherein at least 90% of the total EV and bacteria particles in the pharmaceutical composition are EVs.

186 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 182 , wherein the composition further comprises an additional therapeutic.

187 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 186 , wherein the additional therapeutic is a cancer therapeutic.

188 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 187 , wherein the cancer therapeutic comprises a chemotherapy agent.

189 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 187 , wherein the cancer therapeutic comprises an antibiotic.

190 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 187 , wherein the composition further comprises a prebiotic.

191 . The pharmaceutical composition of claim 186 , wherein the additional therapeutic comprises an immunosuppressive agent, a DMARD, a pain-control drug, a steroid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), or a cytokine antagonist, and combinations thereof.

192 . A method of treating a disease in a subject comprising administering to the subject the pharmaceutical composition of claim 186 .

193 . The method of claim 192 , wherein the disease is an autoimmune disease, an inflammatory disease, a metabolic disease, or a cancer.

194 . The method of claim 192 , wherein the disease is Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) or Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH).

195 . The method of claim 192 , wherein the disease is atopic dermatitis.

196 . The method of claim 192 , wherein the disease is an inflammatory disease.

197 . The method of claim 196 , wherein the inflammatory disease is psoriasis.

198 . The method of claim 192 , wherein the method further comprises administration of an additional therapeutic to the subject.

199 . The method of claim 198 , wherein the disease is cancer and the additional therapeutic is a cancer therapeutic.

200 . The method of claim 199 , wherein the cancer therapeutic comprises a chemotherapy agent.

201 . The method of claim 198 , wherein the disease is an autoimmune disease or an inflammatory disease and the additional therapeutic comprises an immunosuppressive agent, a DMARD, a pain-control drug, a steroid, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), or a cytokine antagonist, and combinations thereof.
