Abstract

In some instances, a person may need monitoring. The monitoring may be based on age, or on other factors such as abilities and functionality. The monitoring may enable a supervising person to remotely receive updates regarding the subject person. The supervising person may enter in various biometric parameters to monitor. The supervising person may alternatively and/or additionally set other factors to monitor such as time of day, location, activity level, and the like. The monitoring may provide peace of mind to a supervising person to ensure the subject person is safe. In some embodiments, the supervising person may set various alarm thresholds. The alarm thresholds may trigger an alert to the supervising person. In alternative embodiments, if the subject person is a grown person without a supervising person in the same vicinity, a security and/or automation system may act as the supervising adult.

Claims (38)

1. A method for a security and/or automation system, comprising:

monitoring a set of biometric parameters associated with a subject person;

obtaining visual surveillance of the subject person while monitoring the biometric parameters to track a movement of the subject person;

selecting at least one alarm threshold corresponding to the subject person, the at least one alarm threshold corresponding to the set of biometric parameters and the movement of the subject person;

detecting an active alarm status of the security and/or automations system based at least in part on the monitoring; and

providing the visual surveillance of the subject person to a supervising person in response to the monitored set of biometric parameters and the movement of the subject person satisfying the at least one alarm threshold during the active alarm status.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising customizing the set of biometric parameters for a health status of the subject person.

3. The method of claim 2 , further comprising customizing at least one value or range of values for the set of biometric parameters based on the health status of the subject person.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising customizing the at least one alarm threshold for a health status of the subject person.

5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising setting the at least one alarm threshold to a default and adjusting the at least one alarm over time based on the monitoring.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting the visual surveillance, the monitored set of biometric parameters, or a combination thereof to emergency personnel.

7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring a presence of the supervising person at a location where the subject person is located and activating an audio-visual alarm at the location in response to the supervising person being present at the location.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising deactivating the audio-visual alarm in response to the monitored set of biometric parameters not satisfying the at least one alarm threshold.

9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the audio-visual alarm comprises different alarm levels, the different alarm levels activated based on the monitored set of biometric parameters.

10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the active alarm status corresponds to a health event associated with the subject person.

11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising detecting the active alarm status in response to determining that the monitored set of biometric parameters indicates a known medical condition associated with the subject person.

12. The method of claim 11 , further comprising detecting the active alarm status in response to determining that different combinations of the monitored set of biometric parameters indicates the known medical condition associated with the subject person.

13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising tracking the subject person as the subject person moves around a location by activating different cameras at the location based on the tracking of the subject person.

14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising capturing videos of the subject person from the different cameras and combining the captured videos into a single, seamless video.

15. A system for security and/or automation, the system comprising:

a processor;

memory in electronic communication with the processor; and

instructions stored in the memory, the instructions executable by the processor to:

monitor a set of biometric parameters associated with a subject person;

obtain visual surveillance of the subject person while monitoring the biometric parameters to track a movement of the subject person;

selecting at least one alarm threshold corresponding to the subject person, the at least one alarm threshold corresponding to the set of biometric parameters and the movement of the subject person;

detecting an active alarm status of the security and/or automations system based at least in part on the monitoring; and

providing the visual surveillance of the subject person to a supervising person in response to the monitored set of biometric parameters and the movement of the subject person satisfying the at least one alarm threshold during the active alarm status.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the instructions are further executable by the processor to transmit the visual surveillance, the monitored set of biometric parameters, the movement of the subject person or a combination thereof to emergency personnel.

17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the instructions are further executable by the processor to set the at least one alarm threshold to a default and adjust the at least one alarm over time based on the monitoring.

18. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing computer executable code, the code executable by a processor to:

monitor a set of biometric parameters associated with a subject person;

obtain visual surveillance of the subject person while monitoring the biometric parameters to track a movement of the subject person;

selecting at least one alarm threshold corresponding to the subject person, the at least one alarm threshold corresponding to the set of biometric parameters and the movement of the subject person;

detecting an active alarm status based at least in part on the monitoring; and

providing the visual surveillance of the subject person to a supervising person in response to the monitored set of biometric parameters and the movement of the subject person satisfying the at least one alarm threshold during the active alarm status.

19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 18 , the code executable by the processor further to customize the set of biometric parameters for a health status of the subject person.

20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 18 , the code executable by the processor further to customize the at least one alarm threshold for a health status of the subject person.
