Abstract

A display controller includes: an image generator configured to generate a three-dimensional image of surroundings of a vehicle and output a display image; an instruction determiner configured to determine an instruction of a user in accordance with a position operated by the user; and a viewpoint changer configured to change a viewpoint parameter related to generation of the three-dimensional image on a basis of the instruction of the user, wherein the instruction determiner sets a plurality of regions corresponding to different viewpoint parameters in the display image, the instruction determiner determines the instruction of the user on a basis of a region where the position operated by the user, the viewpoint changer changes the viewpoint parameter in accordance with the instruction of the user, and the instruction determiner sets the plurality of regions in the three-dimensional image after a change.

Claims (37)

1 . A display controller comprising:

an image generator configured to generate a three-dimensional image of surroundings of a vehicle and output a display image to be displayed on a display device on a basis of the three-dimensional image, the three-dimensional image being generated on a basis of images captured by a plurality of in-vehicle cameras configured to capture the surroundings of the vehicle;

an instruction determiner configured to determine an instruction of a user in accordance with a position operated by the user in the display image displayed on the display device; and

a viewpoint changer configured to change a viewpoint parameter related to generation of the three-dimensional image on a basis of the instruction of the user determined by the instruction determiner,

wherein the instruction determiner sets a plurality of regions corresponding to different viewpoint parameters in the display image,

wherein the instruction determiner determines the instruction of the user on a basis of a region where the position operated by the user belongs among the plurality of regions,

wherein the viewpoint changer changes the viewpoint parameter in accordance with the instruction of the user, and

wherein the instruction determiner sets the plurality of regions in the three-dimensional image after a change.

2 . The display controller according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of regions is set such that respective areas are equal to or greater than a preliminarily set threshold value.

3 . The display controller according to claim 1 ,

wherein a boundary line between adjacent regions in the plurality of regions is set as a dead region where the user operation is not received, and

wherein the instruction determiner does not determine the instruction of the user when the dead region is operated by the user.

4 . The display controller according to claim 3 ,

wherein the boundary line and the dead region are not displayed when the dead region is not operated by the user, and

wherein the boundary line or the dead region is displayed when the dead region is operated by the user.

5 . A display controller comprising:

an image generator configured to generate a three-dimensional image of surroundings of a vehicle and output a display image to be displayed on a display device on a basis of the three-dimensional image, the three-dimensional image being generated on a basis of images captured by a plurality of in-vehicle cameras configured to capture the surroundings of the vehicle;

an instruction determiner configured to determine an instruction of a user on a basis of a direction designated by an operation by the user on the display image displayed on the display device; and

a viewpoint changer configured to change a viewpoint parameter related to generation of the three-dimensional image in accordance with the instruction of the user determined by the instruction determiner,

wherein the instruction determiner sets a plurality of reference directions corresponding to different viewpoint parameters,

wherein the instruction determiner determines a reference direction close to the direction designated by the operation by the user among the plurality of reference direction,

wherein the viewpoint changer changes the viewpoint parameter on a basis of a result determined by the instruction determiner, and

wherein the instruction determiner sets the plurality of reference directions in the three-dimensional image in accordance with a viewpoint after a change.

6 . The display controller according to claim 5 , wherein the plurality of reference directions is set such that a difference between angles is equal to or greater than a preliminarily set threshold value.

7 . A display controller comprising:

an image generator configured to generate a three-dimensional image of surroundings of a vehicle and output a display image to be displayed on a display device on a basis of the three-dimensional image, the three-dimensional image being generated on a basis of images captured by a plurality of in-vehicle cameras configured to capture the surroundings of the vehicle; and

a viewpoint changer configured to change a viewpoint parameter on a basis of a position of a swipe and one of an operation amount and an operation speed of the swipe when the swipe is performed by a user on the three-dimensional image displayed on the display device.

8 . The display controller according to claim 1 , wherein when changing the viewpoint parameter in accordance with an instruction of the user, the viewpoint changer continuously changes a viewpoint only in predetermined one or a plurality of ranges on a line connecting between a viewpoint before a change of the viewpoint parameter and a viewpoint instructed by the user.

9 . The display controller according to claim 1 ,

wherein a dead time period in which an operation of the user is not received is set in a period until a predetermined time elapses after the viewpoint parameter is changed, and

wherein the instruction of the user is not determined when an operation is performed by the user in the dead time period.

10 . The display controller according to claim 9 , wherein in the dead time period, one or both of fade-out of the three-dimensional image before a change of the viewpoint parameter, and fade-in of the three-dimensional image after a change of the viewpoint parameter are performed.

11 . The display controller according to claim 9 , wherein in the dead time period, a blend ratio between the three-dimensional image before a change of the viewpoint parameter and the three-dimensional image after a change of the viewpoint parameter is continuously changed.

12 . The display controller according to claim 9 , wherein in the dead time period, a luminance of the three-dimensional image before a change of the viewpoint parameter is reduced, or a luminance of the three-dimensional image after a change of the viewpoint parameter is increased.

13 . The display controller according to claim 9 , wherein in the dead time period, a transparency of the three-dimensional image before a change of the viewpoint parameter is increased, and a transparency of the three-dimensional image after a change of the viewpoint parameter is reduced.

14 . A display device configured to be controlled by the display controller according to claim 1 .

15 . A vehicle in which the display controller according to claim 1 is mounted.
