Abstract

A system and method that uses a midserver located between a business enterprise computer infrastructure and a cloud-based infrastructure to collect and aggregate authentication data from internal resources and users, and provide authentication data associated with a user session to external resources to facilitate cross-boundary single-sign-on.

Claims (15)

1 . A system for midserver facilitation of cross-boundary single sign on, comprising:

a midserver comprising a first plurality of programming instructions stored in the memory and operating on the processor, wherein the first plurality of programming instructions, when operating on the processor, causes the computing device to:

receive authentication data for a user;

receive data from a plurality of computing devices on the internal network, the data comprising at least an interaction associated with the user;

process the received data to produce a single output data stream with the authentication data attached; and

securely transmit the output data stream to an external resource.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data is received from a domain controller.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data is received from a third-party service.

4 . A method for ingestion of data into a cloud-based service from an external network, comprising the steps of:

receiving, at a midserver, authentication data for a user;

receiving data from a plurality of computing devices on the internal network, the data comprising at least an interaction associated with the user;

processomg the received data to produce a single output data stream with the authentication data attached; and

securely transmitting the output data stream to an external resource.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the authentication data is received from a domain controller.

6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the authentication data is received from a third-party service.
