Abstract

An example computer system for authenticating a user can include: one or more processors; and non-transitory computer-readable storage media encoding instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the computer system to create: an analytical engine programmed to track activities of the user outside of a metaverse and within the metaverse; a query engine programmed to generate a series of questions for the user based upon the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse; and an authentication engine programmed to authenticate the user based upon responses to the series of questions provided by the user.

Claims (28)

1. A computer system for authenticating a user, comprising:

one or more processors; and

non-transitory computer-readable storage media encoding instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, causes the computer system to create:

an analytical engine programmed to track activities of the user outside of a metaverse and within the metaverse;

a query engine programmed to generate a series of questions for the user based upon the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse; and

an authentication engine programmed to authenticate the user based upon responses to the series of questions provided by the user;

wherein the authentication engine is programmed to assess an accuracy and semantics associated with the responses provided by the user; and

wherein the authentication engine is programmed to calculate a propensity score based upon the responses provided by the user, wherein the propensity score measures a likelihood that the user is accessing the metaverse under free will.

2. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the analytical engine is further programmed to develop a user persona based upon the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse, wherein the user persona includes profile information about the user.

3. The computer system of claim 2 , wherein the analytical engine further includes artificial intelligence that is programmed to learn the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse, wherein the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse are continually updated.

4. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the series of questions includes an audio question challenge and a visual question challenge.

5. The computer system of claim 4 , wherein the audio question challenge includes one or more aspects of the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse, and the visual question challenge includes one or more gestures.

6. The computer system of claim 4 , wherein the audio question challenge and the visual question challenge are continually changed over time.

7. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the user is authenticated based upon a comparison of the propensity score to a threshold.

8. The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the semantics include an assessment of whether the responses are provided by the user under free will.

9. A method for authenticating a user, comprising:

tracking activities of the user outside of a metaverse and within the metaverse;

generating a series of questions for the user based upon the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse;

authenticating the user based upon responses to the series of questions provided by the user;

assessing an accuracy and semantics associated with the responses provided by the user; and

calculating a propensity score based upon the responses provided by the user, wherein the propensity score measures a likelihood that the user is accessing the metaverse under free will.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the semantics include an assessment of whether the responses are provided by the user under free will.

11. The method of claim 9 , further comprising authenticating the user based upon a comparison of the propensity score to a threshold.

12. The method of claim 9 , further comprising developing a user persona based upon the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse, wherein the user persona includes profile information about the user.

13. The method of claim 12 , further comprising learning the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse, wherein the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse are continually updated.

14. The method of claim 9 , wherein the series of questions includes an audio question challenge and a visual question challenge.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the audio question challenge includes one or more aspects of the activities of the user outside of the metaverse and within the metaverse, and the visual question challenge includes one or more gestures.

16. The method of claim 14 , wherein the audio question challenge and the visual question challenge are continually changed over time.
