Abstract

Systems and related methods facilitating interactions between a merchant device, a central system and a consumer device are discussed herein. Wallet identifying data may be used to secure messages between the consumer device and the merchant device over a wireless link. For example, the merchant device may include circuitry configured to wirelessly receive the wallet identifying data from a consumer device and to transmit the wallet identifying data to the central system. In response, consumer identifying data associated with the wallet identifying data may be received by the merchant device from the central system. In some embodiments, employee identifying data that identifies an employee may be associated with the consumer identifying data to facilitate consumer assistance and employee payment.

Claims (47)

1 - 63 . (canceled)

64 . A system configured to facilitate communications with a consumer device and a merchant device, the system comprising one or more processors and at least one memory storing instructions that, with the one or more processors, configure the system to:

transmit wallet identifying data to the consumer device, wherein the wallet identifying data comprises a wallet identifying token and is associated with consumer identifying data;

cause the consumer device to broadcast the wallet identifying token to the merchant device via at least one of an unsecured network or a secured network;

associate the consumer identifying data with employee identifying data; and

transmit the employee identifying data associated with the consumer identifying data to the merchant device via a secure connection.

65 . The system of claim 64 , wherein the consumer identifying data identifies a consumer and the employee identifying data identifies an employee.

66 . The system of claim 64 , wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, with the one or more processors, further configure the system to:

receive the wallet identifying token sent to the consumer device from the merchant device.

67 . The system of claim 64 , wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, with the one or more processors, further configure the system to:

transmit the consumer identifying data to the merchant device.

68 . The system of claim 64 , wherein the wallet identifying data further comprises a private key.

69 . The system of claim 68 , wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, with the one or more processors, further configure the system to:

receive, from the merchant device, consumer approval data secured using at least one of the wallet identifying token or the private key, wherein the consumer approval data indicates approval of a payment of an employee payment amount to an employee payment account.

70 . The system of claim 69 , wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, with the one or more processors, further configure the system to:

receive, from the merchant device, secured payment approval data secured based on the consumer approval data;

validate the secured payment approval data based on at least one of the wallet identifying token or the private key; and

process the payment after validating the secured payment approval data received from the merchant device.

71 . The system of claim 70 , wherein the secured payment approval data comprises the consumer approval data received from the merchant device.

72 . The system of claim 71 , wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, with the one or more processors, further configure the system to:

transmit a payment confirmation to the merchant device.

73 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:

transmitting wallet identifying data to a consumer device, wherein the wallet identifying data comprises a wallet identifying token and is associated with consumer identifying data;

causing the consumer device to broadcast the wallet identifying token to a merchant device via at least one of an unsecured network or a secured network;

associating the consumer identifying data with employee identifying data; and

transmitting the employee identifying data associated with the consumer identifying data to the merchant device via a secure connection.

74 . The method of claim 73 , wherein the consumer identifying data identifies a consumer and the employee identifying data identifies an employee.

75 . The method of claim 73 , further comprising:

receiving the wallet identifying token sent to the consumer device from the merchant device.

76 . The method claim 73 , further comprising:

transmitting the consumer identifying data to the merchant device.

77 . The method of claim 73 , wherein the wallet identifying data further comprises a private key.

78 . The method of claim 77 , further comprising:

receiving, from the merchant device, consumer approval data secured using at least one of the wallet identifying token or the private key, wherein the consumer approval data indicates approval of a payment of an employee payment amount to an employee payment account.

79 . The method of claim 78 , further comprising:

receiving, from the merchant device, secured payment approval data secured based on the consumer approval data;

validating the secured payment approval data based on at least one of the wallet identifying token or the private key; and

processing the payment after validating the secured payment approval data received from the merchant device.

80 . The method of claim 79 , wherein the secured payment approval data comprises the consumer approval data received from the merchant device.

81 . The method of claim 80 , further comprising:

transmitting a payment confirmation to the merchant device.

82 . A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:

transmit wallet identifying data to a consumer device, wherein the wallet identifying data comprises a wallet identifying token and is associated with consumer identifying data;

cause the consumer device to broadcast the wallet identifying token to a merchant device via at least one of an unsecured network or a secured network;

associate the consumer identifying data with employee identifying data; and

transmit the employee identifying data associated with the consumer identifying data to the merchant device via a secure connection.

83 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 82 , wherein the consumer identifying data identifies a consumer and the employee identifying data identifies an employee.
