Abstract

A method of creating an enhanced document may include receiving an unstructured document, wherein a content of the unstructured document is formed of only unstructured content, encoding the unstructured document based on a known semantic meaning of the content of the unstructured document to form a structured document, wherein the structured document comprises only structured content, and wherein the structured content comprises a plurality of document sections, adding to the structured document a respective interactive element for each of the plurality of document sections, storing the structured document in association with a unique document identifier that is individual to the structured document, rendering the structured document to create a rendered document comprising structured content, unstructured content, and the interactive elements, and embedding the unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form an enhanced document.

Claims (70)

1. A computer-implemented method for creating an enhanced document, the method comprising:

receiving an unstructured document, wherein a content of the unstructured document is formed of only unstructured content;

encoding the unstructured document based on a known semantic meaning of the content of the unstructured document to form a structured document, wherein the structured document comprises only structured content, and wherein the structured content comprises a plurality of document sections;

adding to the structured document a respective interactive element for each of the plurality of document sections;

storing the structured document in association with a unique document identifier that is individual to the structured document;

rendering the structured document to create a rendered document comprising structured content, unstructured content, and the interactive elements; and

embedding the unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form an enhanced document.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving a request for the structured document from a document parsing system, the request containing the associated unique document identifier; and

returning the structured document to the document parsing system in response to the request.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , further comprising:

upon receiving the request for the structured document from the document parsing system:

generating a second unique document identifier;

associating the structured document with the second unique document identifier; and

embedding the second unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form a second enhanced document.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , further comprising:

presenting a user with a real-time dashboard indicating a processing status of the enhanced document and the second enhanced document.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

tracking interactions with the enhanced document by way of the interactive elements; and

presenting a user with a real-time dashboard indicating statistics regarding the interactions with the enhanced document.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

desensitizing the structured document to remove sensitive user information prior to rendering the structured document.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein only a portion of the structured document is rendered to create the rendered document.

8. A system for creating an enhanced document, the system comprising:

a data storage device storing instructions for creating an enhanced document in an electronic storage medium; and

a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations including:

receiving an unstructured document, wherein a content of the unstructured document is formed of only unstructured content;

encoding the unstructured document based on a known semantic meaning of the content of the unstructured document to form a structured document, wherein the structured document comprises only structured content, and wherein the structured content comprises a plurality of document sections;

adding to the structured document a respective interactive element for each of the plurality of document sections;

storing the structured document in association with a unique document identifier that is individual to the structured document;

rendering the structured document to create a rendered document comprising structured content, unstructured content, and the interactive elements; and

embedding the unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form an enhanced document.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further include:

receiving a request for the structured document from a document parsing system, the request containing the associated unique document identifier; and

returning the structured document to the document parsing system in response to the request.

10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the operations further include:

upon receiving the request for the structured document from the document parsing system:

generating a second unique document identifier;

associating the structured document with the second unique document identifier; and

embedding the second unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form a second enhanced document.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the operations further include:

presenting a user with a real-time dashboard indicating a processing status of the enhanced document and the second enhanced document.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further include:

tracking interactions with the enhanced document by way of the interactive elements; and

presenting a user with a real-time dashboard indicating statistics regarding the interactions with the enhanced document.

13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further include:

desensitizing the structured document to remove sensitive user information prior to rendering the structured document.

14. The system of claim 8 , wherein only a portion of the structured document is rendered to create the rendered document.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a computing system, causes the computing system to perform operations for creating an enhanced document, the operations including:

receiving an unstructured document, wherein a content of the unstructured document is formed of only unstructured content;

encoding the unstructured document based on a known semantic meaning of the content of the unstructured document to form a structured document, wherein the structured document comprises only structured content, and wherein the structured content comprises a plurality of document sections;

adding to the structured document a respective interactive element for each of the plurality of document sections;

storing the structured document in association with a unique document identifier that is individual to the structured document;

rendering the structured document to create a rendered document comprising structured content, unstructured content, and the interactive elements; and

embedding the unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form an enhanced document.

16. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , the operations further including:

receiving a request for the structured document from a document parsing system, the request containing the associated unique document identifier; and

returning the structured document to the document parsing system in response to the request.

17. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , the operations further including:

upon receiving the request for the structured document from the document parsing system:

generating a second unique document identifier;

associating the structured document with the second unique document identifier; and

embedding the second unique document identifier as non-visible metadata in the rendered document to form a second enhanced document.

18. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17 , the operations further including:

presenting a user with a real-time dashboard indicating a processing status of the enhanced document and the second enhanced document.

19. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , the operations further including:

tracking interactions with the enhanced document by way of the interactive elements; and

presenting a user with a real-time dashboard indicating statistics regarding the interactions with the enhanced document.

20. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , the operations further including:

desensitizing the structured document to remove sensitive user information prior to rendering the structured document.
