Multi-profile-based inauthenticity identification
A media stream associated with a participant of a communication session is received. A biometric marker is generated for the participant based on the media stream. User profiles associated with the biometric marker are identified in a biometrics reference library. A determination is made as to whether a cardinality of the user profiles exceeds a threshold number. Responsive to determining that the cardinality of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number, another participant is notified of a possible inauthenticity of the participant.
1 . A method, comprising:
receiving a media stream associated with a participant of a communication session that is a video conference;
generating a marker for the participant based on the media stream;
identifying user profiles associated with the marker in a reference library, wherein each user profile comprises metadata associated with a participant and is identified based on a similarity to the marker, wherein the reference library associates different markers with a same metadata to identify deceptive manipulations;
determining whether a number of the user profiles exceeds a threshold number, wherein the threshold number is at least two; and
responsive to determining that the number of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number, blocking the media stream of the participant, wherein blocking the media stream comprises:
preventing transmission of video data from the participant to other participants of the video conference.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining whether the number of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number comprises:
determining whether the user profiles include different names for the participant.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining whether the number of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number comprises:
determining whether the user profiles include different telephone numbers.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining whether the number of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number comprises:
determining whether the user profiles include different locations.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
notifying another participant of the communication session about a possible inauthenticity of the participant.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
identifying metadata associated with the participant; and
associating the marker with the metadata in the reference library.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the reference library is at least one of a voice reference library or a facial reference library.
8 . A device, comprising:
a memory; and
a processor, the processor configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to:
receive a media stream associated with a participant of a communication session that is a video conference;
generate a marker for the participant based on the media stream;
identify user profiles associated with the marker in a reference library, wherein each user profile comprises metadata associated with a participant and is identified based on a similarity to the marker, wherein the reference library associates different markers with a same metadata to identify deceptive manipulations;
determine whether a number of the user profiles exceeds a threshold number, wherein the threshold number is at least two; and
responsive to determining that the number of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number, block the media stream of the participant, wherein to block the media stream comprises to:
prevent transmission of video data from the participant to other participants of the video conference.
9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein at least some of the user profiles include different names.
10 . The device of claim 8 , wherein at least some of the user profiles include different telephone numbers.
11 . The device of claim 8 , wherein at least some of the user profiles include different locations.
12 . The device of claim 8 , further comprising:
notify another participant of the communication session about a possible inauthenticity of the participant.
13 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to:
identify metadata associated with the participant; and
associate the marker with the metadata in the reference library.
14 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the reference library is at least one of a voice reference library or facial reference library.
15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions operable to cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising, comprising:
receiving a media stream associated with a participant of a communication session that is a video conference;
generating a marker for the participant based on the media stream;
identifying user profiles associated with the marker in a reference library, wherein each user profile comprises metadata associated with a participant and is identified based on a similarity to the marker, wherein the reference library associates different markers with a same metadata to identify deceptive manipulations;
determining whether a number of the user profiles exceeds a threshold number, wherein the threshold number is at least two; and
responsive to determining that the number of the user profiles exceeds the threshold number, blocking the media stream of the participant, wherein blocking the media stream comprises:
preventing transmission of video data from the participant to other participants of the video conference.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein at least some of the user profiles include different names for the participant.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein at least some of the user profiles include different telephone numbers.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein at least some of the user profiles include different locations.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:
identifying metadata associated with the participant; and
associating the marker with the metadata in the reference library.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the reference library is at least one of a voice reference library or facial reference library.
