Abstract

Example embodiments may include one or more of receiving sound emissions signals from channels via sound emitters, controlling the sound emission signals, via relay circuits, and one of the relay circuits is configured to interrupt one of the sound emission signals associated with one of the sound emitters while the other sound emissions signals pass to the other corresponding sound emitters, and receiving, via a sound detection circuit, an electrical ambient sound signal based on ambient sound sensed by the one of the sound emitters responsive to the interrupted one of the sound emission signals.

Claims (36)

1. A system comprising:

a plurality of sound emitters configured to receive corresponding audio signals from an audio controller via a plurality of corresponding channels; and

a relay circuit disposed in each one of the plurality of corresponding channels, between the audio controller and the plurality of sound emitters, the relay circuit configured to activate a sound sensor to cause a corresponding one of the plurality of sound emitters to detect an ambient sound.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of sound emitters are connected in a series chain configuration.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein each sound emitter, of the plurality of sound emitters, is configured to receive a sound emission signal from a corresponding channel of the plurality of channels, and

wherein each sound emitter, of the plurality of sound emitters, is configured to play the corresponding channel, such that each sound emitter plays a different corresponding channel.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the signal controller comprises a plurality of signal conditioners connected to the plurality of relay circuits.

5. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a sound detection circuit connected to the sound sensor, the sound detection circuit configured to receive an electrical ambient sound signal based on ambient sound sensed by the corresponding sound emitter.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the corresponding sound emitter is further configured to:

generate a voltage based on the detected ambient sound.

7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the corresponding sound emitter is further configured to:

transmit a value of voltage to a processor to transmit that value to a computing device.

8. A method, comprising:

receiving, by a plurality of sound emitters, corresponding audio signals from an audio controller via a plurality of corresponding channels; and

activating, by a relay circuit disposed in each one of the plurality of corresponding channels, between the audio controller and the plurality of sound emitters, a sound sensor to cause a corresponding one of the plurality of sound emitters to detect an ambient sound.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of sound emitters are connected in a series chain configuration.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein each sound emitter, of the plurality of sound emitters, is configured to receive a sound emission signal from a corresponding channel of the plurality of channels, and

wherein the each sound emitter, of the plurality of sound emitters, is configured to play the corresponding channel, such that each sound emitter plays a different corresponding channel.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the signal controller comprises a plurality of signal conditioners connected to the plurality of relay circuits.

12. The method of claim 8 , comprising:

receiving, by a sound detection circuit connected to the sound sensor, an electrical ambient sound signal based on ambient sound sensed by the corresponding sound emitter.

13. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

generating, by the corresponding sound emitter, a voltage based on the detected ambient sound.

14. The method of claim 13 , comprising:

transmitting, by the corresponding sound emitter, a value of the voltage to a reporting computing device.

15. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform:

receiving, by a plurality of sound emitters, corresponding audio signals from an audio controller via a plurality of corresponding channels; and

activating, by a relay circuit disposed in each one of the plurality of corresponding channels, between the audio controller and the plurality of sound emitters, a sound sensor to cause a corresponding one of the plurality of sound emitters to detect an ambient sound.

16. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the plurality of sound emitters are connected in a series chain configuration.

17. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein each sound emitter, of the plurality of sound emitters, is configured to receive a sound emission signal from a corresponding channel of the plurality of channels, and

wherein the each sound emitter, of the plurality of sound emitters, is configured to play the corresponding channel, such that each sound emitter plays a different corresponding channel.

18. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the signal controller comprises a plurality of signal conditioners connected to the plurality of relay circuits.

19. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

receiving, by a sound detection circuit connected to the sound sensor, an electrical ambient sound signal based on ambient sound sensed by the corresponding sound emitter.

20. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more instructions further cause the processor to perform:

generating, by the corresponding sound emitter, a voltage based on the detected ambient sound.
