Abstract

The present disclosure describes systems and methods for using a template for a simulated phishing campaign, A database includes a plurality of templates for simulated phishing campaigns, each template of the plurality of templates identifying a list of a plurality of types of simulated phishing communications and at least a portion of content for the simulated phishing communications. A campaign controller selects a template from the plurality of templates for a simulated phishing campaign directed to a user of a plurality of users; and communicates, to one or more devices of the user a first type of simulated phishing communication of the plurality of types of simulated phishing communications with at least the portion of content identified by the template.

Claims (27)

1 . A method comprising:

identifying, by one or more processors, a template to use for communicating a plurality of simulated phi shing communications to one or more devices of a user;

identifying, by the one or more processors within the template, an ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications, the template identifying one or more time intervals between each of the types of simulated phishing communications; and

communicating, by the one or more processors to one or more devices of the user, each of the types of simulated phishing communications according to the ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications within the template, in turn, based at least on the one or more time intervals between each of the types of simulated phishing communications.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating, by the one or more processors, each of the types of simulated phishing communications in the ordered list until the user interacts with one of the types of simulated phishing communications.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating, by the one or more processors, each of the types of simulated phishing communications in the ordered list until all of the types of simulated phishing communications in the ordered list have been communicated.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising selecting, by the one or more processors, the template from a plurality of templates based at least on an attribute of the user.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein each of the plurality of templates comprises a different ordered list of the plurality of types of simulated phishing communications.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a time interval of the one or more time intervals is different between a first type of the types of simulated phishing communications and a second type of the types of simulated phishing communications.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more time intervals varies between each of the types of simulated phishing communications.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the types of simulated phishing communications comprises one or more of an email, a text message, a VoIP communication or an internet based communication.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications comprises a first type of the types of simulated phishing communications followed by a second type of the types of simulated phishing communications different from the first type.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications comprises one or more of a same type of the types of simulated phishing communications preceded by or followed by a type of the types of simulated phishing communications different from the same type.

11 . A system comprising:

one or more processors, coupled to memory and configured to:

identify a template to use for communicating a plurality of simulated phishing communications to one or more devices of a user;

identify, within the template, an ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications, the template identifying one or more time intervals between each of the types of simulated phishing communications; and

communicate, to one or more devices of the user, each of the types of simulated phishing communications according to the ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications within the template, in turn, based at least on the one or more time intervals between each of the types of simulated phishing communications.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to communicate each of the types of simulated phishing communications in the ordered list until the user interacts with one of the types of simulated phishing communications.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to communicate each of the types of simulated phishing communications in the ordered list until all of the types of simulated phishing communications in the ordered list have been communicated.

14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to select the template from a plurality of templates based at least on an attribute of the user.

15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein each of the plurality of templates comprises a different ordered list of the plurality of types of simulated phishing communications.

16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein a time interval of the one or more time intervals is different between a first type of the types of simulated phishing communications and a second type of the types of simulated phishing communications.

17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the one or more time intervals varies between each of the types of simulated phishing communications.

18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the types of simulated phishing communications comprises one or more of an email, a text message, a VoIP communication or an internet based communication.

19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications comprises a first type of the types of simulated phishing communications followed by a second type of the types of simulated phishing communications different from the first type.

20 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the ordered list of types of simulated phishing communications comprises one or more of a same type of the types of simulated phishing communications preceded by or followed by a type of the types of simulated phishing communications different from the same type.
