Abstract

A completely edible pet treat is releasably attachable to another object, such as a camera or a mobile device having a camera. The pet treat includes a 100% edible fastening member, shaped and sized to be releasably attached to the object, and a 100% edible remaining member integral with the fastening member, sized to be visible to a pet, when the pet treat is attached to the object.

Claims (25)

1 . A completely edible pet treat for releasable attachment to another object; the pet treat comprising:

(a) a 100% edible fastening member, shaped and sized to be releasably attached to the object; and

(b) a 100% edible remaining member integral with the fastening member, sized to be visible to a pet, when the pet treat is attached to the object.

2 . The pet treat of claim 1 wherein the fastening member is hook-shaped.

3 . The pet treat of claim 1 wherein the remaining member is shaped to simulate an appearance of food.

4 . The pet treat of claim 1 wherein the remaining member is shaped to simulate an appearance of a bone.

5 . The pet treat of claim 1 wherein the fastening member includes a holder section and a bridge section;

(a) the bridge section extending between the remaining member and the holder section;

(b) the holder section being spaced from and in opposition to the remaining member to define an object-receiving space between the holder section and the remaining member, and such that the bridge section is positioned to hang on the object.

6 . The pet treat of claim 5 wherein the holder section is spaced between 1-2 cm from the remaining member.

7 . The pet treat of claim 5 further comprising a 100% edible gusset section extending between the bridge section and the remaining member, on a side of the bridge section opposite of the holder section.

8 . The pet treat of claim 1 , wherein the pet treat comprises at least 30% rice flour; at least 15-25% sweet potato powder; at least 10-20% protein; at least 5-15% humectant; and at least 3-7% peanut butter.

9 . The pet treat of claim 8 further including at least one of: 2-5% honey; 2-5% bacon; or 2-5% cheese.

10 . The pet treat of claim 8 further including 5-15% calcium carbonate.

11 . The pet treat of claim 8 wherein the at least 10-20% protein consists essentially of chicken.

12 . The pet treat of claim 1 wherein the remaining portion has a length of 5-10 cm and a height of 3-8 cm.

13 . A method of using a 100% edible pet treat; the method comprising:

releasably attaching the pet treat to an object with a 100% edible fastening member; the fastening member being integral with a 100% edible remaining member; the remaining member sized to be visible to a pet animal.

14 . The method of claim 13 wherein the step of releasably attaching includes attaching the pet treat to a mobile device having a camera.

15 . The method of claim 14 wherein the fastening member is hook shaped, and the step of releasably attaching includes hanging the pet treat onto the mobile device using the hook shaped fastening member.

16 . The method of claim 13 wherein the remaining member has the appearance of food.

17 . The method of claim 13 wherein the remaining member has the appearance of a bone.

18 . The method of claim 13 wherein the pet treat comprises at least 30% rice flour, at least 15-25% sweet potato powder; at least 10-20% protein; at least 5-15% humectant; and at least 3-7% peanut butter.

19 . The method of claim 13 further including removing the fastening member and integral remaining member from the object and giving the fastening member and integral remaining member to the pet animal for consumption.

20 . The method of claim 14 further including taking a picture of the pet animal, as the pet animal looks at the remaining member.
