Abstract

Methods and systems for facilitating a digital wallet transaction are described herein. A service provider identifies and recommends the most applicable digital wallets for a user based on various factors, such as user location, type and amount of purchase, type of merchant, and/or mood of the user. The service provider may also rank the recommended digital wallets and/or determine how many should be presented to a user. During merchant checkout, the user is presented with the recommended digital wallets, and the user selects one of the digital wallets to fund the purchase.

Claims (40)

1. A system comprising:

a non-transitory memory; and

one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to execute instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising:

determining context data associated with a pending purchase between a user and a seller entity conducted via a user device, the context data determined based on device data associated with the user device;

accessing digital wallet information representing a plurality of digital wallets usable by the user to complete an electronic transaction for the pending purchase via the user device;

based on the context data and the digital wallet information, determining a prioritized display of a first one of the plurality of digital wallets according to a set of criteria related to a completion of the electronic transaction; and

transmitting instructions to a server associated with the seller entity, wherein the instructions cause a first graphical element representing the first one of the plurality of digital wallets to be displayed on a user interface of the user device differently than a second graphical element representing a second one of the plurality of digital wallets, wherein the first and second graphical elements are selectable by the user on the user device to conduct the electronic transaction.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining, from the plurality of digital wallets, a first subset of digital wallets to be presented on the user interface.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the determining the first subset of digital wallets is based on one or more device attributes associated with the user device.

4. The system of claim 2 , wherein the determining the first subset of digital wallets comprises excluding one or more of the plurality of digital wallets from the subset of digital wallets based on the set of criteria.

5. The system of claim 2 , wherein the instructions further cause a third graphical element to be displayed on the user interface of the user device, wherein graphical elements representing a second subset of digital wallets from the plurality of digital wallets are displayed on the user interface in response to a selection of the third graphical element.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the user interface is associated with a checkout screen of the seller entity, and wherein the context data comprises an identity of the seller entity.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining a user profile associated with the user based on activities conducted by the user via the user device, wherein the prioritized display is determined further based on the user profile.

8. A method comprising:

in response to receiving an indication that a request to conduct an electronic transaction has been made by a user via a user device, determining, by a computer system, context data associated with the request;

determining, by the computer system, a plurality of digital wallets usable by the user to conduct the electronic transaction via the user device;

determining, by the computer system, a prioritized display of a first one of the plurality of digital wallets based on the context data and a set of criteria; and

causing a first graphical element representing the first one of the plurality of digital wallets to be displayed on a user interface of the user device differently than a second graphical element representing a second one of the plurality of digital wallets, wherein the first and second graphical elements are selectable by the user on the user device to conduct the electronic transaction.

9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the context data is determined based on device data associated with the user device.

10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the prioritized display is determined further based on a user authentication of the user with one or more online identity providers.

11. The method of claim 8 , wherein the set of criteria is associated with likelihoods of a successful completion of the electronic transaction based on different digital wallets in the plurality of wallets.

12. The method of claim 8 , wherein the electronic transaction is conducted between the user and a seller entity, and wherein the set of criteria is associated with a preference of the seller entity.

13. The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

selecting, from the plurality of digital wallets, a first subset of digital wallets to be presented on the user interface, wherein the prioritized display is determined further based on the first subset of digital wallets.

14. The method of claim 13 , further comprising:

determining a threshold number of digital wallets to be presented on the user interface based on one or more device attributes associated with the user device, wherein the first subset of digital wallets is selected based on the threshold number.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:

determining context data associated with a pending transaction between a first entity and a second entity conducted via a user device, the context data determined based on device data associated with the user device;

accessing digital wallet information representing a plurality of digital wallets usable by the first entity to complete processing for the pending transaction via the user device;

determining a prioritized display of a first one of the plurality of digital wallets based on the context data and the digital wallet information; and

causing a first graphical element representing the first one of the plurality of digital wallets to be displayed on a user interface of the user device differently than a second graphical element representing a second one of the plurality of digital wallets, wherein the first and second graphical elements are selectable by the user on the user device to select the first one or the second one of the plurality of digital wallets for use with the pending transaction.

16. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining, from the plurality of digital wallets, a first subset of digital wallets to be presented on the user interface.

17. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the determining the first subset of digital wallets is based on one or more device attributes associated with the user device.

18. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the determining the first subset of digital wallets comprises excluding one or more of the plurality of digital wallets from the subset of digital wallets based on a set of criteria.

19. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further cause a third graphical element to be displayed on the user interface of the user device, wherein graphical elements representing a second subset of digital wallets from the plurality of digital wallets are displayed on the user interface in response to a selection of the third graphical element.

20. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

determining a user profile associated with the user based on activities conducted by the user via the user device, wherein the prioritized display is determined further based on the user profile.
