Abstract

An air management system for a common indoor room or space that comprises a plurality of air outflow apertures or vents, a plurality of air curtains having at least a portion of the air curtains separated from one another, a plurality of separated air suction intakes, and an air sterilization and/or air cleaning mechanism.

Claims (38)

1. An air management system comprising:

(a) a plurality of distance separated air outflow vents or apertures located within a common indoor room or space, wherein the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures direct airflow from an airflow source in a downwardly direction, the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures creating a plurality of downwardly blowing air curtains; and

(b) a plurality of air suction intakes for intaking or suctioning some air from the air curtains into the plurality of air suction intakes, wherein the plurality of air suction intakes are disposed in the common indoor room or space, wherein the plurality of downwardly blowing air suction intakes are located below the plurality of air outflow vents,

(c) wherein the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures and the plurality of air suction intakes are vertically offset from each other such that the plurality of air outflow vents are not located directly above the plurality of air suction intakes,

(d) wherein the plurality of downwardly blowing air curtains are blowing downwardly simultaneously; and

(e) wherein the plurality of downwardly blowing are curtains are distance separated when first formed by the plurality of distance separated air outflow vents or apertures.

2. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is curved.

3. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is straight.

4. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is angled with respect to a ground or a floor of the common indoor room or space.

5. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air curtains is sloped with respect to a ground or a floor of the common indoor room or space.

6. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air curtains flows alongside a plurality of heads or bodies of individuals seated within the common indoor room or space.

7. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air curtains influences a direction of exhaled air of a plurality of individuals within the common indoor room or space.

8. The air management system of claim 1 , wherein all or a portion of air that moves through the plurality of air suction intakes moves towards an air filter or air sterilization system.

9. The air management system of claim 1 , further comprising air flow in addition to the plurality of air curtains.

10. An air management system comprising a plurality of distance separated air outflow vents or apertures located within a common indoor room or space, wherein the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures simultaneously direct a plurality of air curtains blowing in a downwardly direction, wherein the plurality of air curtains blow in front of, alongside of, beside, or combinations thereof, a portion of heads and/or bodies of a plurality of individuals located below the air outflow vents or apertures, wherein the plurality of the air curtains are distance separated from one another when first formed, and wherein at least a portion of one or more of the plurality of air curtains is angled relative to a ground or a floor of the common indoor room or space.

11. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is curved.

12. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is straight.

13. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is angled with respect to the ground or the floor.

14. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is curved in a vertical plane and appears straight or substantially straight when viewed from above or below.

15. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures are elongated horizontally.

16. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air curtains influences a direction of exhaled air of a plurality of individuals.

17. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein all or a portion of air that moves through the air suction intakes moves towards an air filter or air sterilization system.

18. The air management system of claim 10 , further comprising air flow in addition to the plurality of air curtains.

19. The air management system of claim 10 , wherein the common indoor room or space is that of an airplane, a train, an automobile, a bus, a vehicle, an office, a restaurant, a performing arts theater, a movie theater, an educational room, a classroom, a house of worship, or an elevator.

20. An air management system for an indoor room or space, the air management system comprising:

(a) three or more air curtains within the indoor room or space, the three or more air curtains formed by airflow from the three or more air outflow vents or apertures, wherein the three or more air curtains are simultaneously blowing in a downward direction along a portion of heads and/or bodies of a plurality of individuals within the indoor room or space, wherein the three or more air curtains meet the exhaled air of the plurality of individuals and influences at least a portion of the exhaled air from the plurality of individuals in a downward direction;

(b) a plurality of air suction intakes, wherein the plurality of air suction intakes are vertically offset from the three or more air outflow vents or apertures, and wherein the plurality of air suction intakes pull at least a portion of air from the three or more air curtains into and through the plurality of air suction intakes; and

(c) a secondary source of air flow within the indoor room or space which blows air within the indoor room or space, and wherein the secondary source of air flow within the indoor room or space is in addition to the three or more air curtains.

21. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein a portion of one or more of the three or more air outflow vents or apertures is curved.

22. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is straight.

23. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein a portion of one or more of the plurality of air outflow vents or apertures is angled with respect to a ground or a floor of the indoor room or space.

24. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein a portion of one or more of the three or more air outflow vents or apertures is curved in a vertical plane and appears straight or substantially straight when viewed from above or below.

25. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein one or more of the three or more air outflow vents or apertures are elongated horizontally.

26. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein the three or more the air outflow vents or apertures shape the plurality of air curtains.

27. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein the plurality of air curtains are separated when first formed by the three or more air outflow vents or apertures.

28. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein all or a portion of air that moves through the plurality of air suction intakes moves towards an air filter or air sterilization system.

29. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein the plurality of air suction intakes are located below the three or more air outflow vents or apertures.

30. The air management system of claim 20 , wherein the indoor room or space is that of an airplane, a train, an automobile, a bus, a vehicle, an office, a restaurant, a performing arts theater, a movie theater, an educational room, a classroom, a house of worship, or an elevator.
