Abstract

A transformer tank for a shell type transformer includes a wall, the wall surrounding a tank interior, a clamping arrangement for exerting a clamping force on a magnetic core of the shell type transformer. The clamping arrangement includes a beam fixed on the wall, and a plunger, the plunger including a first axial end configured to exert the clamping force on the magnetic core. The plunger is movable with respect to the beam along its longitudinal axis and a value of the clamping force is settable depending on the position of the plunger relative to the beam.

Claims (39)

1. A transformer tank for a shell type transformer, comprising:

a wall, the wall surrounding a tank interior,

a clamping arrangement for exerting a clamping force on a magnetic core of the shell type transformer, which is arranged on an inside of the wall in the tank interior, the clamping arrangement comprising:

a beam fixed on the wall,

a plunger, the plunger comprising a first axial end configured to exert the clamping force on the magnetic core, wherein the plunger is movable with respect to the beam along its longitudinal axis and a value of the clamping force is settable depending on the position of the plunger relative to the beam,

a screw device, the screw device being contact with a second axial end of the plunger for moving the plunger along its longitudinal axis

a plunger sleeve, the plunger sleeve being arranged inside the beam,

the plunger arranged inside the plunger sleeve and movable with respect to plunger sleeve along its longitudinal axis,

the plunger sleeve comprising a first axial end and an opposite second axial end,

the screw device arranged at the first axial end,

the screw device comprising one or more screws,

the screws being turnable in a thread of the plunger sleeve to move with respect to the plunger sleeve along the longitudinal axis, such that a part of the screw that protrudes the sleeve interior is settable, and

the second axial end of the plunger arranged at the first axial end of the plunger sleeve and in contact with the screw device.

2. The transformer tank according to claim 1 , wherein

the plunger sleeve comprises an opening at the second end, and

the plunger reaches through the opening and protrudes over the plunger sleeve at the second end.

3. The transformer tank according to claim 1 , wherein the clamping arrangement is arranged in an upper tank part of the transformer tank such that the clamping arrangement is accessible from an upper opening of the transformer tank.

4. The transformer tank according to claim 1 , wherein the clamping arrangement comprises a plurality of plungers configured to exert an adjustable value of the clamping force on the magnetic core.

5. A shell type transformer, comprising:

the transformer tank according to claim 1 ,

the magnetic core, wherein the plunger exerts a preset value of the clamping force on the magnetic core.

6. The shell type transformer according to claim 5 , wherein the plunger is movable with respect to the beam to exert the clamping force on the magnetic core such that the clamping force pushes the magnetic core away from the beam.

7. The shell type transformer according to claim 5 , wherein the magnetic core comprises two separate magnetic core parts and a force at a joint between the two magnetic core parts is settable depending on the value of the clamping force.

8. A method for clamping the magnetic core of the shell type transformer according claim 5 , comprising:

turning the screw for moving the plunger along its longitudinal axis with respect to the wall of the transformer tank, wherein the screw is in contact with the axial end of the plunger, thereby

exerting the clamping force on the magnetic core of the transformer, and

setting the clamping force to the preset value by turning the screw with a value of a torque corresponding to the preset value of the clamping force.

9. The shell type transformer according to claim 5 , wherein

the plunger sleeve comprises an opening at the second end, and

the plunger reaches through the opening and protrudes over the plunger sleeve at the second end.

10. The shell type transformer according to claim 5 , wherein the clamping arrangement is arranged in an upper tank part of the transformer tank such that the clamping arrangement is accessible from an upper opening of the transformer tank.

11. The shell type transformer according to claim 5 , wherein the clamping arrangement comprises a plurality of plungers configured to exert an adjustable value of the clamping force on the magnetic core.

12. The method according to claim 8 , wherein

the plunger sleeve comprises an opening at the second end, and

the plunger reaches through the opening and protrudes over the plunger sleeve at the second end.

13. The method according to claim 8 , wherein the clamping arrangement is arranged in an upper tank part of the transformer tank such that the clamping arrangement is accessible from an upper opening of the transformer tank.

14. The method according to claim 8 , wherein the clamping arrangement comprises a plurality of plungers configured to exert an adjustable value of the clamping force on the magnetic core.

15. The method according to claim 8 , wherein the plunger is movable with respect to the beam to exert the clamping force on the magnetic core such that the clamping force pushes the magnetic core away from the beam.

16. The method according to claim 8 , wherein the magnetic core comprises two separate magnetic core parts and a force at a joint between the two magnetic core parts is settable depending on the value of the clamping force.
