Abstract

Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums for developing a device application are disclosed. A method for developing a device application includes determining a score for a developer and assigning, to the developer, a job based on a machine readable specification, the machine readable specification comprising one or more jobs that are completable by the developer. The method further includes receiving a completed job based on one of the one or more jobs and updating the score based on an assessment of the completed job.

Claims (36)

1 . A method for developing a device application, the method comprising:

determining a score for a developer;

assigning, to the developer, a job based on a machine readable specification, the machine readable specification comprising one or more jobs that are completable by the developer;

receiving a completed job based on one of the one or more jobs; and

updating the score based on an assessment of the completed job.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the score is a classification; and

wherein the classification of the score corresponds to a classification of the job.

3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising determining the classification of the job based on the machine readable specification.

4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising allocating one or more resources to the developer based on the classification.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the assessment is automatically performed by a computer system upon reception of the completed job.

6 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the assessment is based on a comparison of the completed job with the job in the machine readable specification.

7 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the assessment comprises a performance score on two or more portions of the completed job.

8 . A computer system configured to develop a device application, the computer system comprising:

a processor coupled to a memory, the processor configured to:

determine a score for a developer;

assign, to the developer, a job based on a machine readable specification, the machine readable specification comprising one or more jobs that are completable by the developer;

receive a completed job based on one of the one or more jobs; and

update the score based on an assessment of the completed job.

9 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the score is a classification; and

wherein the classification of the score corresponds to a classification of the job.

10 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein the processor is further configured to determine the classification of the job based on the machine readable specification.

11 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein the processor is further configured to allocate one or more resources to the developer based on the classification.

12 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the assessment is automatically performed by a computer system upon reception of the completed job.

13 . The computer system of claim 12 , wherein the assessment is based on a comparison of the completed job with the job in the machine readable specification.

14 . The computer system of claim 12 , wherein the assessment comprises a performance score on two or more portions of the completed job.

15 . A computer readable storage medium having data stored therein representing software executable by a computer, the software comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the computer readable storage medium to perform:

determining a score for a developer;

assigning, to the developer, a job based on a machine readable specification, the machine readable specification comprising one or more jobs that are completable by the developer;

receiving a completed job based on one of the one or more jobs; and

updating the score based on an assessment of the completed job.

16 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the score is a classification; and

wherein the classification of the score corresponds to a classification of the job.

17 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein the instructions further cause the computer readable storage medium to further perform determining the classification of the job based on the machine readable specification.

18 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions cause the computer readable storage medium to further perform allocating one or more resources to the developer based on the classification.

19 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the assessment is automatically performed by the computer readable storage medium upon reception of the completed job.

20 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the assessment is based on a comparison of the completed job with the job in the machine readable specification.
