Abstract

Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums for developing a device application are disclosed. A method includes determining one or more subprojects where each of the one or more subprojects include a development of one or more components applicable to a device application and determining a timing to develop the one or more subprojects. The method further includes determining an expertise to develop the one or more subprojects. For each of the one or more subprojects, the method further includes assigning one or more developers to develop the subproject and contacting each of the one or more developers to develop the subproject based on the timing. The method further includes determining a competence of each of the one or more developers prior to determining the one or more developers where the competence of each developer is greater or equal to the expertise for the subproject to which they were assigned.

Claims (49)

1 . A method for developing components for a device application, the method comprising:

determining one or more subprojects, each of the one or more subprojects comprising a development of one or more components applicable to a device application;

determining a timing to develop the one or more subprojects;

determining an expertise to develop the one or more subprojects; and

for each of the one or more subprojects:

assigning one or more developers to develop the subproject; and

contacting each of the one or more developers to develop the subproject based on the timing.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a competence of each of the one or more developers prior to determining the one or more developers; and

wherein the competence of each developer is greater or equal to the expertise for the subproject to which they were assigned.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein determining the competence for each developer comprises determining a score for the developer based on a job that was assigned to the developer; and

wherein determining comprises evaluating the job automatically with a computer system.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining one or more subprojects comprises resolving the subprojects from a machine readable specification.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a production time for each of the one or more subprojects based on the expertise; and

wherein assigning the one or more developers is based on the production time.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the assigning is optimized to complete a first development application, which incorporates at least one of the one or more components, based on time.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the assigning is further optimized to complete a second development application, which incorporates at least one of the one or more components, based on time.

8 . A computer system configured to develop a device application, the computer system comprising:

a processor coupled to a memory, the processor configured to:

determine one or more subprojects, each of the one or more subprojects comprising a development of one or more components applicable to a device application;

determine a timing to develop the one or more subprojects;

determine an expertise to develop the one or more subprojects; and

for each of the one or more subprojects:

perform an assignment of one or more developers to develop the subproject; and

contact each of the one or more developers to develop the subproject based on the timing.

9 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to determine a competence of each of the one or more developers prior to determining the one or more developers; and

wherein the competence of each developer is greater or equal to the expertise for the subproject to which they were assigned.

10 . The computer system of claim 9 , wherein determine the competence for each developer comprises the processor configured to:

determine a score for the developer based on a job that was assigned to the developer; and

evaluate the job automatically.

11 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the processor configured to determine one or more subprojects comprises the processor configured to resolve the subprojects from a machine readable specification.

12 . The computer system of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to determine a production time for each of the one or more subprojects based on the expertise; and

wherein the processor configured to perform the assignment of the one or more developers is based on the production time.

13 . The computer system of claim 12 , wherein the assignment is optimized to complete a first development application, which incorporates at least one of the one or more components, based on time.

14 . The computer system of claim 13 , wherein the assignment is further optimized to complete a second development application, which incorporates at least one of the one or more components, based on time.

15 . A computer readable storage medium having data stored therein representing software executable by a computer, the software comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the computer readable storage medium to perform:

determining one or more subprojects, each of the one or more subprojects comprising a development of one or more components applicable to a device application;

determining a timing to develop the one or more subprojects;

determining an expertise to develop the one or more subprojects; and

for each of the one or more subprojects:

assigning one or more developers to develop the subproject; and

contacting each of the one or more developers to develop the subproject based on the timing.

16 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions further cause the computer readable storage medium to perform determining a competence of each of the one or more developers prior to determining the one or more developers; and

wherein the competence of each developer is greater or equal to the expertise for the subproject to which they were assigned.

17 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 16 , wherein determining the competence for each developer comprises determining a score for the developer based on a job that was assigned to the developer; and

wherein determining comprises evaluating the job automatically with the computer readable storage medium.

18 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein determining one or more subprojects comprises resolving the subprojects from a machine readable specification.

19 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions further cause the computer readable storage medium to perform determining a production time for each of the one or more subprojects based on the expertise; and

wherein assigning the one or more developers is based on the production time.

20 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 19 , wherein the assigning is optimized to complete a first development application, which incorporates at least one of the one or more components, based on time.
