Abstract

Disclosed are methods, systems, apparatus, and computer programs for a coordination mechanism between a network and a user equipment (UE) that is configured to perform cross-link interference (CLI) measurements. In one aspect, a method includes generating a message that indicates a capability of a user equipment (UE) whether to support simultaneous reception of at least one signal associated with cross-link interference (CLI) measurement and at least one signal associated with a serving cell or a neighbor cell of the UE. The method further includes transmitting the message to an access node (AN).

Claims (52)

1. A processor comprising circuitry that executes instructions to perform operations comprising:

performing a cross-link interference (CLI) measurement on one or more orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols;

determining one or more restrictions based at least on the one or more OFDM symbols and a subcarrier spacing (SCS););

applying the one or more restrictions to the CLI measurement; and

in response to applying the one or more restrictions, restricting reception of one or more of PDCCH, PDSCH or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) within a CLI measurement window comprising OFDM symbols on which a user equipment (UE) performs sounding reference signal (SRS) reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements and 2 data symbols before an OFDM symbol used for SRS-RSRP measurements for 60 kHz subcarrier spacing.

2. The processor of claim 1 , wherein the one or more restrictions are further determined in response to determining that the UE does not support a capability.

3. The processor of claim 1 , wherein determining the one or more restrictions based at least on the CLI measurement comprises:

determining one or more restricted symbols based at least on the one or more OFDM symbols.

4. The processor of claim 3 , wherein the operations comprise: receiving at least one of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal or a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal from a serving cell of the UE.

5. The processor of claim 4 , wherein the capability comprises at least one of:

performing an action concurrently with the CLI measurement, or

receiving a signal associated with the CLI measurement.

6. The processor of claim 5 , wherein the one or more restricted symbols are determined further based on at least one of:

a capability of the UE or one or more frequency bands.

7. The processor of claim 1 , wherein the CLI measurement comprises at least one of:

a measurement of reference signal received power (RSRP) of a reference signal, or

a measurement of reference signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the reference signal.

8. An apparatus, comprising:

a transceiver that receives a configuration from a communication network for performing a cross-link interference (CLI) measurement on one or more orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols; and

a processor configured to:

determine one or more restrictions based at least on the one or more OFDM symbols and a subcarrier spacing (SCS);

apply the one or more restrictions to the CLI measurement; and

in response to applying the one or more restrictions, restricting reception of one or more of PDCCH, PDSCH or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) within a CLI measurement window comprising OFDM symbols on which a user equipment (UE) performs sounding reference signal (SRS) reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements and 2 data symbols before an OFDM symbol used for SRS-RSRP measurements for 60 kHz subcarrier spacing.

9. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to further determine the one or more restrictions in response to determining that the UE does not support a capability.

10. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the capability comprises at least one of:

performing an action concurrently with the CLI measurement, or

receiving a signal associated with the CLI measurement.

11. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the action comprises: receiving at least one of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal or a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal from a serving cell of the UE.

12. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein, to determine the one or more restrictions based at least on the CLI measurement, the processor is configured to:

determine one or more restricted symbols based at least on the one or more OFDM symbols.

13. The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the processor is configured to determine the one or more restricted symbols further based on at least one of:

a capability of the UE or one or more frequency bands.

14. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the CLI measurement comprises at least one of:

a measurement of reference signal received power (RSRP) of a reference signal, or

a measurement of reference signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the reference signal.

15. A method comprising:

performing a cross-link interference (CLI) measurement on one or more orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols;

determining one or more restrictions based at least on the one or more OFDM symbols and a subcarrier spacing (SCS);

applying the one or more restrictions to the CLI measurement; and

in response to applying the one or more restrictions, restricting reception of one or more of PDCCH, PDSCH or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) within a CLI measurement window comprising OFDM symbols on which a user equipment (UE) performs sounding reference signal (SRS) reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements and 2 data symbols before an OFDM symbol used for SRS-RSRP measurements for 60 kHz subcarrier spacing.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the one or more restrictions are further determined in response to determining that the UE does not support a capability.

17. The method of claim 15 , wherein determining the one or more restrictions based at least on the CLI measurement comprises:

determining one or more restricted symbols based at least on the one or more OFDM symbols.

18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the one or more restricted symbols are determined further based on at least one of:

a capability of the UE or one or more frequency bands.

19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the capability comprises at least one of:

performing an action concurrently with the CLI measurement, or

receiving a signal associated with the CLI measurement.

20. The method of claim 19 , further comprising: receiving at least one of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal or a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) signal from a serving cell of the UE.

21. The method of claim 15 , wherein the CLI measurement comprises at least one of:
