Abstract

A game token money includes a plurality of plastic layers laminated through thermocompression bonding including at least a colored layer in the middle to specify a value of the game token money and a pair of pale color layers laminated on both sides of the colored layer. An RFID is embedded in a layer other than the outermost layer of the plurality of plastic layers; and a classification part is filled in at least one of the pale color layers to indicate a classification of the game token money. The classification part is recognizable from a side face and a front face of the game token money. The RFID contains information regarding a value of the game token money and a classification of the game token money indicated by the classification part.

Claims (24)

1. A reading system configured to read a type and a value of one or more gaming chips of a plurality of gaming chips, each gaming chip of the plurality of chips having a corresponding type that is different from a corresponding value of the gaming chip, the reading system comprising:

a camera configured to capture the one or more gaming chips and generate an image of the one or more gaming chips; and

a recognition device configured to recognize the type and the value of each of the one or more gaming chips by performing an image recognition process using a neural network on a first image among the images generated by the camera; and

wherein:

each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chip has:

a first portion representing the type of the gaming chip; and

a second portion representing the value of the gaming chip; and

the recognition device is further configured to recognize the type other than the value of the gaming chip based on the first portion appearing in the first image and recognize the value of the gaming chip based on the second portion appearing in the first image.

2. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein, for each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chips, the type represents information on a location where the gaming chip is to be used.

3. The reading system according to claim 2 , wherein, for each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chips, the type represents a distinction between whether the gaming chip is for VIP or mass use.

4. The reading system according to claim 2 , wherein the type represents a junket in which the gaming chip is used.

5. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein, for each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chips, the type represents a distinction between whether the gaming chip is a cash chip, rolling chip, or promotional chip.

6. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein, for each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chips, the first portion represents the type of the gaming chip by color, pattern, and/or shape.

7. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein, for each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chips, the second portion represents the value of the gaming chip by color and/or pattern.

8. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein the camera is installed to capture at least sides of the one or more gaming chips.

9. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein the recognition device is configured to recognize the respective types and values of the one or more gaming chips even if light-receiving amounts of the one or more gaming chips are different from each other.

10. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein:

each of the sets of gaming chips is provided with an RFID storing information for identifying at least the type and the value of the gaming chips, and

the reading system further comprises an RFID reading device configured to read the RFID of the one or more gaming chips and recognize the type and the value of the one or more gaming chips.

The reading system according to claim 10 , further comprising an inspection device configured to determine an authenticity of the one or more gaming chips by comparing the type and the value of the one or more gaming chips recognized by the recognition device with the type and the value of the one or more gaming chips recognized by the RFID reading device.

12. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein, for each gaming chip of the plurality of gaming chips, the first portion comprises a side portion of a classification part formed from a front surface or a back surface of the gaming chip over a side surface.

13. The reading system according to claim 12 , wherein the classification part includes multiple parts arranged at equal angular intervals from each other in a circumferential direction.

14. The reading system according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion extends circumferentially of a side surface.

15. The reading system according to claim 14 , wherein the second portion is a layer-shaped portion centered in a thickness direction of the side surface.
