Claims (28)

. A method of treating a hematologic cancer in a subject comprising:

(a) administering to the subject an effective amount of a purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP) inhibitor; and

(b) administering to the subject an effective amount of an alkylating agent or an anti-CD20 agent.

. A method of treating a hematologic cancer in a subject comprising:

(a) administering to the subject an effective amount Forodesine; and

(b) administering to the subject an effective amount of Rituximab.

. The method of claim 2 further comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an alkylating agent.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein the alkylating agent is selected from a mustard derivative, a nitrosourea derivative, a platinum compound, and an imidazole carboxamide compound.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein the alkylating agent is a mustard derivative.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein the alkylating agent is Bendamustine.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein Forodesine and Rituximab are administered concurrently.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein Forodesine and Rituximab are administered sequentially.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein the Rituximab is administered one or more times prior to administration of Forodesine.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein the hematologic cancer non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein the hematologic cancer is chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein the hematologic cancer is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein Forodesine, Rituximab and the alkylating agent are administered concurrently.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein Forodesine, Rituximab and the alkylating agent are administered sequentially.

. The method of claim 14 , wherein Rituximab and the alkylating agent are administered one or more times prior to administration of Forodesine.

. The method of claim 2 , wherein the subject resistant to one or more chemotherapeutic agents.

. A pharmaceutical composition comprising Forodesine and Rituximab.

. The composition of claim 17 further comprising an alkylating agent.

. The composition of claim 18 that comprises Forodesine, Bendamustine, and Rituximab.

. A kit comprising Forodesine and Rituximab.

. The kit of claim 20 , further comprising an alkylating agent.

. The kit of claim 20 , further comprising a delivery system for at least one of Forodesine, Rituximab, and the alkylating agent.

. The kit of claim 20 , further comprising instructions for treating a subject.

. The kit of claim 21 that comprises Forodesine, Rituximab and Bendamustine.
