Abstract

A video decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving a bitstream including information about merge data of a current block; checking mh intra flag information for mh intra prediction which is included in the information about the merge data; checking information about a merge triangle prediction on the basis of a checking result that a value of the mh intra flag information is related to checking the information about the merge triangle prediction included in the information about the merge data; deriving prediction samples for the current block on the basis of a result of checking the information about the merge triangle prediction; and generating a reconstructed picture on the basis of the prediction samples.

Claims (25)

1. An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus, the method comprising:

receiving a bitstream comprising information on merge data of a current block;

deriving prediction samples for the current block based on the information on the merge data; and

generating reconstructed samples based on the prediction samples,

wherein deriving prediction samples for the current block based on the information on the merge data comprising:

checking a value of first flag information related to whether combined inter and intra prediction (CIIP) is applied to the current block, the first flag information being included in the information on the merge data;

parsing information related to an inter prediction coding tool based on the value of the first flag information; and

deriving the prediction samples based on the information related to the inter prediction coding tool,

wherein the information related to the inter prediction coding tool includes information related to a partitioning prediction.

2. An image encoding method performed by an encoding apparatus, the method comprising:

determining a prediction mode of a current block;

configuring information on merge data based on the determined prediction mode; and

encoding the information on the merge data,

wherein configuring the information on the merge data comprising:

checking a value of first flag information related to whether combined inter and intra prediction (CIIP) is applied to the current block, the first flag information being included in the information on the merge data;

configuring information related to an inter prediction coding tool in the information on the merge data based on the value of the first flag information,

wherein the information related to the inter prediction coding tool includes information related to a partitioning prediction.

3. A non-transitory computer readable digital storage medium storing a bitstream generated by the method of claim 2 .

4. A transmission method of data for an image, the transmission method comprising:

obtaining a bitstream, wherein the bitstream is generated based on determining a prediction mode of a current block, configuring information on merge data based on the determined prediction mode, and encoding the information on the merge data; and

transmitting the data comprising the bitstream,

wherein configuring the information on the merge data comprising:

checking a value of first flag information related to whether combined inter and intra prediction (CIIP) is applied to the current block, the first flag information being included in the information on the merge data;

configuring information related to an inter prediction coding tool in the information on the merge data based on the value of the first flag information,

wherein the information related to the inter prediction coding tool includes information related to a partitioning prediction.
