Abstract

The system obtains a first digital image and a hash associated with the first digital image, where the hash associated with the first digital image is a hash of analog values recorded by a sensor involved in generating the first digital image. Based on the hash, the system retrieves the analog values from a database. Based on the analog values, the system reconstructs a second digital image. The system determines whether the first digital image and the second digital image are substantially the same. Upon determining that the first digital image and the second digital image are substantially the same, the system provides a first notification that the first digital image is the same as the second digital image, otherwise the system provides a second notification that the first digital image is different from the second digital image.

cause a device to determine the owner of the digital image based on the digital image; and

cause the device to send the request to the owner of the digital image.

4 . The at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , comprising instructions to:

store an indication of the hash function used to generate the first hash based on the analog values along with the digital image;

retrieve the encrypted analog values from a cryptographically secured database,

wherein the analog values are configured to be read-only in the cryptographically secured database.

6 . The at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the hash function maps the analog values having arbitrary size to a fixed-size value.

7 . The at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , comprising instructions to:

upon determining that the first hash and the second hash match, generate the first notification that the digital image is not generated by an AI; and

based on the indication of the first hash, retrieving encrypted analog values recorded by a sensor involved in generating the digital image,

wherein the encrypted analog values are encrypted using a public cryptographic key associated with an owner of the digital image;

obtaining a private cryptographic key associated with the owner of the digital image;

based on the private cryptographic key, decrypting the encrypted analog values to obtain analog values;

applying a hash function to the analog values to obtain a second hash;

determining whether the first hash and the second hash match; and

selectively performing generating a first notification that the digital image has the analog origin or generating a second notification that the digital image does not have the analog origin depending on whether the first hash and the second hash match.

9 . The method of claim 8 , comprising:

obtaining, using the sensor, the analog values for generating the digital image;

generating, using the analog values, the first hash and the digital image;

storing the analog values using a cryptography-based storage application;

generating a blockchain operation request to be executed by a blockchain node for minting a non-fungible token (NFT) using the digital image and the first hash; and

transmitting the blockchain operation request to the blockchain node to commit the NFT to a blockchain.

10 . The method of claim 8 , comprising:
