DIGITAL PROCESSING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING WORKFLOWS
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for constructing nested workflows include a processor configured to display a canvas for enabling placement and interconnection of workflow blocks, and enable access to a workflow template. The workflow template includes ordered interconnected blocks agnostic to information the blocks are capable of processing. The processor is configured to enable access to a functionality description associated with the workflow template, enable inclusion of the workflow template downstream in a first workflow, enable permissions for blocks of the workflow template to access data associated with upstream workflow blocks of the first workflow in a same branch of the first workflow as the workflow template, enable inclusion of the workflow template downstream in a second workflow, and enable permissions for the blocks of the workflow template to access data associated with upstream workflow blocks of the second workflow in a same branch as the workflow template.
1 . A graphical workflow builder, configured for communication with a user device via a network and for constructing nested workflows, the graphical workflow builder comprising:
at least one processor configured to:
display a canvas for enabling placement and interconnection of workflow blocks thereon, wherein the workflow blocks represent tasks for execution and are configured to access at least one of a plurality of data sources, receive at least one trigger, and implement at least one action performed by internal or external resources provided by a workflow management platform;
access at least one workflow template, wherein the at least one workflow template includes a series of interconnected blocks predetermined in order and agnostic to information that the series of interconnected blocks is capable of processing;
access a functionality description associated with the at least one workflow template;
include the at least one workflow template at a first workflow location downstream from at least one first workflow block in a first workflow;
permit the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template in the first workflow location to access data associated with workflow blocks in of the first workflow upstream of the at least one workflow template in the first workflow location;
include the at least one workflow template at a second workflow location downstream from at least one second workflow block in a second workflow;
permit the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template in the second workflow location to access data associated with workflow blocks in of the second workflow upstream of the at least one workflow template in the second workflow location;
prompt a user to select an action via a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with the canvas, wherein the action is related to at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow;
retrieve at least one specific input required by at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow;
receive a selection of at least one workflow block from a displayed library of workflow blocks on the GUI, wherein the selection of the at least one workflow block includes dragging and dropping the workflow block from the displayed library onto the canvas; and
populate at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow in response to the selected action and the at least one selected workflow block, wherein populating at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow include automatically creating logical connection between the at least one selected workflow block and workflow blocks of at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow and prompt a user via GUI components to set resources for the at least one selected workflow block execution; and
wherein, upon completion of a construction phase, the first and second workflows are executable via the workflow management platform.
2 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein each time the at least one workflow template is inserted in a subsequent workflow, the at least one workflow template maps to a context of the subsequent workflow.
3 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 2 , wherein the mapping of the at least one workflow template to the context of the subsequent workflow is performed by a workflow management system with automation capabilities.
4 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 2 , wherein the mapping of the at least one workflow template to the context of the subsequent workflow is performed by analyzing metadata associated with the at least one workflow template and the subsequent workflow using metadata analysis.
5 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 2 , wherein the mapping of the at least one workflow template to the context of the subsequent workflow is performed by using artificial intelligence.

The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein permissions for the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template to access data associated with upstream workflow blocks of the first workflow in a same branch of the first workflow as the at least one workflow template are different from permissions for the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template to access data associated with upstream workflow blocks of the second workflow in a same branch of the second workflow as the at least one workflow template.
7 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein the at least one workflow template and an associated functionality description are stored in a workflow template library.
8 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template includes at least one AI block.
9 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein the GUI associated with the canvas maps to at least one workflow template to the context of the first workflow, the second workflow, or a subsequent workflow.
10 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein including the at least one workflow template in either the first workflow or the second workflow includes enabling inclusion of a first workflow template and a second workflow template in either the first workflow or the second workflow.
11 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 10 , wherein each of the first workflow template and the second workflow template has an associated functionality description.
12 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 10 , wherein the first workflow template and the second workflow template are sequentially positioned along a single branch and separated by at least one workflow block from the first workflow or the second workflow.
13 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 10 , wherein the first workflow template and the second workflow template are positioned in distinct branches of the first workflow or the second workflow.
14 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 10 , wherein the first workflow template differs from the second workflow template.
15 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 10 , wherein the first workflow template and the second workflow template are identical.

The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein permitting the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template to access data associated with upstream workflow blocks of the first workflow or the second workflow includes enabling access to a source of dynamic data associated with at least one of the first upstream workflow blocks or the second upstream workflow blocks.
18 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein an output of the at least one workflow template is used by at least one downstream workflow block of the first workflow or the second workflow.
19 . A method for graphically constructing nested workflows, the method comprising:
displaying a canvas for enabling placement and interconnection of workflow blocks thereon, wherein the workflow blocks represent tasks for execution, and are configured to access at least one of a plurality of data sources, receive at least one trigger, and implement at least one action performed by internal or external resources provided by a workflow management platform;
accessing at least one workflow template, wherein the at least one workflow template includes a series of interconnected blocks predetermined in order and agnostic to information that the series of interconnected blocks is capable of processing;
accessing a functionality description associated with the at least one workflow template;
including the at least one workflow template at a first workflow location downstream from at least one first workflow block in a first workflow;
permitting the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template in the first workflow location to access data associated with workflow blocks in of the first workflow upstream of the at least one workflow template in the first workflow location;
including the at least one workflow template at a second workflow location downstream from at least one second workflow block in a second workflow;
permitting the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template in the second workflow location to access data associated with workflow blocks in of the second workflow upstream of the at least one workflow template in the second workflow location;
prompting a user to select an action via a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with the canvas, wherein the action is related to at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow;
retrieving at least one specific input required by at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow;
receiving a selection of at least one workflow block from a displayed library of workflow blocks on the GUI, wherein the selection of the at least one workflow block includes dragging and dropping the workflow block from the displayed library onto the canvas;
populating at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow in response to the selected action and the at least one selected workflow block, wherein populating at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow include automatically creating logical connection between the at least one selected workflow block and workflow blocks of at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow and prompt a user via GUI components to set resources for the at least one selected workflow block execution; and
wherein, upon completion of a construction phase, the first and second workflows are executable via the workflow management platform.
20 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions that when implemented by at least one processor cause the at least one processor to perform nested workflows construction operations, the operations comprising:
displaying a canvas for enabling placement and interconnection of workflow blocks thereon, wherein the workflow blocks represent tasks for execution, and are configured to access at least one of a plurality of data sources, receive at least one trigger, and implement at least one action performed by internal or external resources provided by a workflow management platform;
accessing at least one workflow template, wherein the at least one workflow template includes a series of interconnected blocks predetermined in order and agnostic to information that the series of interconnected blocks is capable of processing;
accessing a functionality description associated with the at least one workflow template;
including the at least one workflow template at a first workflow location downstream from at least one first workflow block in a first workflow;
permitting the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template in the first workflow location to access data associated with workflow blocks in of the first workflow upstream of the at least one workflow template in the first workflow location;
including the at least one workflow template at a second workflow location downstream from at least one second workflow block in a second workflow;
permitting the series of interconnected blocks of the at least one workflow template in the second workflow location to access data associated with workflow blocks in of the second workflow upstream of the at least one workflow template in the second workflow location;
prompting a user to select an action via a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with the canvas, wherein the action is related to at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow;
retrieving at least one specific input required by at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow;
receiving a selection of at least one workflow block from a displayed library of workflow blocks on the GUI, wherein the selection of the at least one workflow block includes dragging and dropping the workflow block from the displayed library onto the canvas; and
populating at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow in response to the selected action and the at least one selected workflow block, wherein populating at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow include automatically creating logical connection between the at least one selected workflow block and workflow blocks of at least one of the first workflow or the second workflow and prompt a user via GUI components to set resources for the at least one selected workflow block execution; and
wherein, upon completion of a construction phase, the first and second workflows are executable via the workflow management platform.
21 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein the GUI is further configured to:
analyze the at least one specific input;
extract data from the at least one specific input;
select at least one GUI component from a plurality of GUI components, wherein the GUI component is configured to display the extracted data from the at least one specific input; and
display the extracted data from the at least one specific input via the at least one GUI component.
22 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein at least one processor is further configured to:
after inserting the at least one workflow template in either the first workflow or the second workflow, display the at least workflow template on the canvas in a collapsed form.
23 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein enabling permission for the series of block of the at least one workflow template to access data associated with upstream workflow blocks of either the first workflow or the second workflow includes enabling access to at least one global variable associated with at least one of the upstream workflow blocks of the first workflow or the second workflow.
24 . The graphical workflow builder of claim 1 , wherein the first and second workflows are automatically executable in response to a trigger event or user initiation.
