Abstract

A head-mounted display comprises: a wearing body; a display; a communication module configured to perform communication connection with a mobile information terminal; a field of view (FOV) sensor configured to output status data used for determining whether the mobile information terminal is included in a user's FOV through the wearing body; and a controller connected to each of the display, the communication module, and the FOV detection sensor. The controller determines whether the mobile information terminal is included in the user's FOV based on the status data, and performs display control with respect to the display so as to display an application screen of the mobile information terminal on the display when determining that the mobile information terminal is not included in the FOV, and not to display the application screen on the display when determining that the mobile information terminal is included in the FOV.

Claims (32)

1. A display device comprising:

a display;

a communication module configured to perform communication connection with a mobile information terminal; and

a processing circuit,

wherein the display device stores an application software which is same as a software stored in the mobile information terminal,

wherein the processing circuit is configured to control so as to:

display a display screen image of the mobile information terminal on a predetermined position of the display when the mobile information terminal is not included in a display area of the display,

synchronize the application software stored in the display device with the software stored in the mobile information terminal,

execute the synchronized application software,

terminate displaying the display screen image of the mobile information terminal on the display and store a termination position where the display screen image was displayed on the display when the mobile information terminal is then included in the display area, and

resume displaying the display screen image at the stored termination position when the mobile information terminal is no longer included in the display area.

2. The display device according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a line of sight detection sensor configured to detect a line of sight of a user of the display device,

wherein the processing circuit is configured to control so as to display the display screen image at a position where the line of sight detected by the line of sight detection sensor interacts the display.

3. The display device according to claim 1 ,

wherein the processing circuit is configured to control so as to maintain the communication connection with the mobile information terminal when terminating a processing of displaying the display screen image of the mobile information terminal on the display.

4. The display device according to claim 1 ,

wherein the processing circuit is configured to control so as to release the communication connection with the mobile information terminal when terminating a processing of displaying the display screen image of the mobile information terminal on the display.

5. A control method for a display device that includes a display, a communication module configured to perform communication connection with a mobile information terminal, the control method comprising the steps of:

storing an application software which is same as a software stored in the mobile information terminal;

displaying a display screen image of the mobile information terminal on a predetermined position of the display when the mobile information terminal is not included in a display area of the display,

synchronizing the application software stored in the display device with the software stored in the mobile information terminal,

executing the synchronized application software,

terminating displaying the display screen image of the mobile information terminal on the display and storing a termination position where the display screen image was displayed on the display when the mobile information terminal is then included in the display area, and

resuming displaying the display screen image at the stored termination position when the mobile information terminal is no longer included in the display area.

6. The control method according to claim 5 ,

wherein the display device further includes a line of sight detection sensor configured to detect a line of sight of a user of the display device,

wherein the control method further comprises the step of displaying the display screen image at a position where the line of sight detected by the line of sight detection sensor interacts the display.

7. The control method according to claim 5 , further comprising the step of:

maintaining the communication connection with the mobile information terminal when terminating a processing of displaying the display screen image of the mobile information terminal on the display.

8. The control method according to claim 5 , further comprising the step of:

releasing the communication connection with the mobile information terminal when terminating processing of displaying the display screen image of the mobile information terminal on the display.
