Abstract

Example operations may include initiating wireless transmission of a first data frame of data designated for wireless transmission. The wireless transmission of the first data frame may be via a first wireless signal packet configured to carry the data of the first data frame. The operations include directing termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet prior to wireless transmission, via the first wireless signal packet, of all of the data of the first data frame. In addition, the operations include directing, in response to termination of transmission of the first data frame, wireless transmission of a termination signal, the termination signal indicating that transmission of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet terminated prior to completion of transmission of all of the data of the first data frame via the first wireless signal packet.

Claims (28)

1 . A method, comprising:

initiating wireless transmission of a first data frame of data designated for wireless transmission;

before completing transmission of the first data frame, directing termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame;

generating, in response to the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame, a termination signal, the termination signal indicating that the wireless transmission of the first data frame terminated prior to completion of transmission of the first data frame; and

identifying a second data frame, wherein the termination of the transmission of the first data frame is generated in view of the second data frame.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame occurs at any amount of time between initiating the wireless transmission of the first data frame and before completing transmission of the first data frame.

3 . The method of claim 1 further comprising sending the termination signal to one or more devices.

4 . The method of claim 1 further comprising sending the termination signal to an intended receiver of the wireless transmission of the first data frame.

5 . The method of claim 4 , the termination signal to indicate to the intended receiver of the wireless transmission of an intentional termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame.

6 . The method of claim 1 further comprising inserting the termination signal in a data stream immediately after directing termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame.

7 . The method of claim 1 , the termination signal to indicate an end of the first data frame.

8 . The method of claim 1 , the termination signal including an auto-correlation property.

9 . The method of claim 1 , the first data frame having a first priority, the second data frame having a second priority, wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame is generated in view of a comparison of the first priority and the second priority.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame is generated in view of a time-sensitive property of the second data frame.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame is initiated in response to receiving an instruction from a different networking layer.

12 . A system, comprising:

one or more processors;

one or more non-transitory computer-readable media containing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations, the operations comprising:

initiate wireless transmission of a first data frame of data designated for wireless transmission;

before completing transmission of the first data frame, direct termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame;

generate, in response to the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame, a termination signal, the termination signal indicating that transmission of the first data frame terminated prior to completion of transmission of the first data frame; and

identify a second data frame, wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame is generated in view of the second data frame.

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame occurs at any amount of time between initiating the wireless transmission of the first data frame and before completing transmission of the first data frame.

14 . The system of claim 12 further comprising sending the termination signal to an intended receiver of the wireless transmission of the first data frame.

15 . The system of claim 14 , the termination signal to indicate to the intended receiver of the wireless transmission of an intentional termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame.

16 . The system of claim 12 , the termination signal to indicate an end of the first data frame.

17 . The system of claim 12 , the first data frame having a first priority, the second data frame having a second priority, wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame is generated in view of a comparison of the first priority and the second priority.

18 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the termination of the wireless transmission of the first data frame is generated in view of a time-sensitive property of the second data frame.
