Abstract

A security system including automated notification and surveillance integration is provided. In the security system of the present disclosure, when any of the devices are locked, unlocked, interacted with, alarmed or triggered, a notification or communication signal is sent to at least one other device. The at least one other device may be a receiver, camera, smart phone, smart watch, laptop, desktop, and/or an Internet connected or Internet of Things (IoT) device. Additionally, a system is provided including at least one alarm module that generates an audible sound when an alarm condition is detected; at least one sensor that detects the audible sound and determines if the audible sound is within a predetermined frequency range and an interface that receives at least one first communication signal from the at least one sensor upon detecting an alarm and transmits at least one second communication signal to at least one device.

Claims (25)

1 . A system, comprising:

at least one locking device disposed in each of at least one facility;

a remote monitoring facility including a monitoring module;

at least one receiver operatively disposed in each of the at least one facility, wherein the at least one receiver is configured to communicate via an external network with the remote monitoring facility, wherein said at least one receiver is configured to send information received from the at least one locking device to the remote monitoring facility and/or at least one computing device; and

a facial recognition module disposed in the at least one facility, the facial recognition module comprising:

a detector that detects the opening of at least one locking device, such detector triggers at least one image capturing device to capture an image of a user opening the at least one locking device; and

a transceiver that communicates with the at least one receiver, wherein the transceiver transmits information comprising the image of the user captured by the at least one image capturing device and ID associated with the at least one locking device to the at least one receiver.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one locking device includes:

a communication device configured to be in communication with the at least one receiver;

an actuating member that engages a receptable of a structure to lock the locking device;

a lever operatively coupled to the actuating member and configured to disengage the actuating member from the receptable to unlock the locking device; and

a button that when pressed causes the actuating member to engage the receptable of the structure and the communication device to send at least one communication signal to the at least one receiver.

3 . The system of claim 2 , further comprising a processing device configured to control the communication device.

4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the at least one communication signal sent by the communication device comprises at least one of an identification number of a room in which the locking device is located and/or an area where such room is located.

5 . The system of claim 4 , further comprising a memory that stores the at least one of an identification number of a room in which the locking device is located and/or an area where such room is located.

6 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the at least one communication signal includes at least one of a battery level of the locking device and/or an indication that the battery level is below a predetermined threshold.

7 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the processing device is configured with a predetermined time delay such that the communication device sends the at least one communication signal to the receiver if the button is pressed for a predetermined period of time.

8 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the receiver sends the at least one communication signal to a network audio horn speaker, the network audio horn speaker configured to play a pre-recorded audio file in response to receiving the at least one communication signal.

9 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the receiver is configured to send at least one pre-recorded message to at least one device when the button of the locking device has been pressed, the at least one pre-recorded message including at least one of an audio message and/or a text message.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one computing device is a computer, phone, or tablet.

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the facial recognition module includes a monitoring module that performs a facial recognition analysis of the image of the user opening the at least one locking device to determine if such user is associated with a person of known identity whose information is stored in a database of the monitoring module, wherein if the face and identity of the user opening the at least one locking device is not known, the monitoring module performs actions comprising at least one of sending at least one alert, triggering at least one alarm in the at least one facility where the at least one locking device is located and/or storing information comprising the face and identity of the user in the database so that the image of such user may be recognized in the future.

12 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising an annunciator panel configured to receive the information sent by the at least one receiver, the annunciator panel configured to display a map of the at least one facility and a status of each locking device.

13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the receiver is configured to trigger at least one image capturing device to capture at least one image of the area surrounding the at least one locking device and to send the at least one image to the remote monitoring facility and/or the at least one computing device.

14 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the receiver is configured to send the at least one communication signal to a smart hub system which is configured to be in communication with at least one predetermined device, wherein the smart hub distributes data in at least one second communication signal to the at least one predetermined device depending on the data.

15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the at least one second communication signal is at least one of an audio file sent to an audio system configured to play the audio file, a pre-recorded audio or text message sent to at least one communication device, a pre-recorded audio or text message sent to local authorities, a message sent to a 2-way radio disposed in the facility where the locking device is located, a control signal sent to at least one image capturing device, and/or a signal sent to a visual annunciator panel configured to communicate information to first responders.
