Abstract

The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for generating contextual hubs for organizing and presenting web-accessible content from third-party sources. In particular, the systems described herein can organize and manage within a contextual hub. For instance, the disclosed systems may perform actions on tabs based on analyzing usage signals associated with the tabs. Furthermore, the disclosed systems can organize contextually related content within contextual hubs. The disclosed systems may also facilitate collaboration between users within a contextual hub by synchronizing interactions with content within a contextual hub.

Claims (73)

1. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computing device to:

receive first content items from a first data source associated with a user account;

receive second content items from a second data source associated with the user account;

process, using a contextual model, the first content items and the second content items to identify a group of content items that are contextually related, the group of content items comprising one or more content items from the first content items and one or more content items from the second content items;

provide, within a graphical user interface, access to each content item within the group of content items;

receive input indicating a removal of a user-identified content item from the group of content items; and

modify parameters of the contextual model based on attributes associated with the user-identified content item.

2. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 1 , wherein:

the first data source comprises a digital messaging source; and

the second data source comprises a calendar source.

3. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 1 , wherein:

the first data source comprises a digital content management source; and

the second data source comprises an email source.

4. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 1 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to:

retrieve, from the first data source, one or more first data source links that correspond to the one or more content items from the first content items in the group of content items; and

retrieve, from the second data source, one or more second data source links that correspond to the one or more content items from the second content items in the group of content items; and

wherein providing access to each content item within the group of content items comprises providing, within the graphical user interface, the one or more first data source links and the one or more second data source links.

5. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 1 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to:

receive additional first content items from the first data source and additional second content items from the second data source after providing access to each content item within the group of content items;

processing, using the contextual model, the additional first content items and the additional second content items to identify an additional content item from the first data source or second data source that is contextually related to the group of content items; and

providing, within the graphical user interface, access to the additional content item along with providing access to each content item within the group of content items.

6. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 1 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to:

process, using a contextual model, the first content items and the second content items to identify an additional group of content items that is contextually related, the additional group of content items comprising one or more additional content items from the first content items and one or more additional content items from the second content items; and

provide, within the graphical user interface, access to each additional content item within the additional group of content items.

7. The non-transitory computer readable medium as recited in claim 1 , wherein the contextual model identifies the group of content items based at least in part on a user-defined parameter.

8. A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving first content items from a first data source associated with a user account;

receiving second content items from a second data source associated with the user account;

identifying, using a contextual model, one or more content items from the first content items and one or more content items from the second content items that are contextually related;

generating a group of content items comprising the one or more content items from the first content items and the one or more content items from the second content items;

providing, within a graphical user interface, access the group of content items;

receiving input indicating a removal of a user-identified content item from the group of content items; and

modifying parameters of the contextual model based on attributes associated with the user-identified content item.

9. The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 8 , further comprising storing the group of content items in the user account.

The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 8 , wherein providing access to the group of content items comprises providing, within the graphical user interface, one or more first data source links corresponding to the one or more content items from the first data source and one or more second data source links corresponding to the one or more content items from the second data source; and

the computer-implemented method further comprising providing, within the graphical user interface, a specific content item associated with a specific data source link from the one or more first data source links based upon receiving an indication of a selection of the specific data source link.

11. The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 8 , wherein:

the first data source comprises a digital messaging source; and

providing access to the group of content items comprises providing access to a digital message located on a server hosting the digital messaging source.

12. The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 8 , wherein:

the first data source comprises a digital messaging source;

the one or more content items from the first content items comprise one or more digital messages; and

the computer-implemented method further comprising providing, within the graphical user interface, a digital messaging interface in response to receiving an indication of a selection of a digital message from the one or more digital messages, the digital messaging interface comprising a message composition interface to compose and send a new digital message using the digital messaging source.

13. The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 8 , further comprising:

receiving third content items from a third data source associated with the user account;

identifying, using the contextual model, one or more content items from the third content items that are contextually related to the group of content items; and

adding the one or more content items from the third content items to the group of content items.

14. The computer-implemented method as recited in claim 8 , further comprising:

identifying, using an additional contextual model, one or more additional content items from the first content items and one or more additional content items from the second content items; and

generating a second group of content items comprising the one or more additional content items from the first content items and the one or more additional content items from the second content items, wherein the contextual model identifies content items related to a first context and the additional contextual model identifies content items related to a second context.

15. A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

authenticating a user account with a first data source and a second data source;

receive first content items from the first data source and second content items from the second data source;

process, using a contextual model, the first content items and the second content items to identify a group of content items that are contextually related, the group of content items comprising one or more content items from the first content items and one or more content items from the second content items;

provide, within a single graphical user interface, access to each content item within the group of content items;

remove the first content items from the group of content items based on receiving user input indicating a request to remove the first content items; and

modify parameters of the contextual model based on removing the first content items from the group of content items.

16. The system as recited in claim 15 , wherein providing access to each content item within the group of content items comprises providing a set of selectable links corresponding to the group of content items.

17. The system as recited in claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

process, using a contextual model, the first content items and the second content items to identify an additional group of content items that is contextually related, the additional group of content items comprising one or more additional content items from the first content items and one or more additional content items from the second content items; and

provide, within the single graphical user interface, access to each additional content item within the additional group of content items.

18. The system as recited in claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

add an additional content item to the group of content items based on receiving user input indicating a request to add the additional content item; and

modifying parameters of the contextual model based on adding the additional content item to the group of content items.

19. The system as recited in claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

receive third content items from a third data source;

identifying, using the contextual model, one or more content items from the third content items that are contextually related to the group of content items; and

adding the one or more content items from the third content items to the group of content items.

20. The system as recited in claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

identify, using an additional contextual model, one or more additional content items from the first content items and one or more additional content items from the second content items; and

generating a second group of content items comprising the one or more additional content items from the first content items and the one or more additional content items from the second content items, wherein the contextual model identifies content items related to a first context and the additional contextual model identifies content items related to a second context.
