Abstract

An example operation includes one or more of receiving an input from a display device associated with a vehicle, wherein the input comprises a request to view content on the display device, determining content-consuming attributes of a user of the display device, based on content that has been consumed by the user on the display device, determining that a different user of a different vehicle has content-consuming attributes within a threshold of the user based on content that has been consumed by the different user on a different display device associated with the different vehicle, and outputting a content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle and the different display device associated with the different vehicle.

Claims (40)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving an input from a display device associated with a vehicle, wherein the input comprises a request to view content on the display device;

determining content-consuming attributes of a user of the display device, based on content that has been consumed by the user on the display device;

determining that a different user of a different vehicle has content-consuming attributes within a threshold of the user based on content that has been consumed by the different user on a different display device associated with the different vehicle; and

outputting a content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle and the different display device associated with the different vehicle,

wherein one or more of a rechargeable battery of the vehicle and a rechargeable battery of the different vehicle are being charged prior to outputting the content-sharing session.

2 . The method of claim 1 , comprising monitoring an interaction between the user and the different user during the content-sharing session.

3 . The method of claim 1 , comprising connecting the display device associated with the vehicle to the content-sharing session based on a selection via the display device.

4 . The method of claim 1 , comprising verifying that the vehicle is parked prior to outputting the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the outputting comprises outputting the content-sharing session to a device of a second user associated with the vehicle simultaneously with the outputting of the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.

6 . The method of claim 1 , comprising downloading and installing a software application for the content-sharing session on the display device associated with the vehicle, after receiving the input and prior to outputting the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.

7 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:

determining that a rechargeable battery of the vehicle is being charged;

estimating an amount of time remaining for the rechargeable battery to be charged; and

selecting content for outputting the content-sharing session, based on the amount of time remaining.

8 . An apparatus comprising:

a memory; and

a processor coupled to the memory, the processor configured to:

receive an input from a display device associated with a vehicle, wherein the input comprises a request to view content on the display device,

determine content consuming attributes of a user of the display device based on content that has been consumed by the user on the display device,

determine that a different user of a different vehicle has content-consuming attributes within a threshold of the user based on content that has been consumed by the different user on a different display device associated with the different vehicle, and

output a content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle and the different display device associated with the different vehicle,

wherein one or more of a rechargeable battery of the vehicle and a rechargeable battery of the different vehicle are being charged prior to the content-sharing session being output.

9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to monitor an interaction between the user and the different user when the content-sharing session is active.

10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to connect the display device associated with the vehicle to the content-sharing session based on a selection via the display device.

11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to verify that the vehicle is parked prior to the output of the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.

12 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to output the content-sharing session to a device of a second user associated with the vehicle simultaneously with the output of the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.

13 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to download and install a software application for the content-sharing session on the display device associated with the vehicle, after reception of the input and prior to the output of the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.

14 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

determine that a rechargeable battery of the vehicle is being charged,

estimate an amount of time that remains for the rechargeable battery to be charged, and

select content for the output of the content-sharing session, based on the amount of time that remains.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions stored therein which when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform:

receiving an input from a display device associated with a vehicle, wherein the input comprises a request to view content on the display device;

determining content-consuming attributes of a user of the display device, based on content that has been consumed by the user on the display device; and

determining that a different user of a different vehicle has content-consuming attributes within a threshold of the user based on content that has been consumed by the different user on a different display device associated with the different vehicle; and

outputting a content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle and the different display device associated with the different vehicle,

wherein one or more of a rechargeable battery of the vehicle and a rechargeable battery of the different vehicle are being charged prior to outputting the content-sharing session.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processor is configured to perform connecting the display device associated with the vehicle to the content-sharing session based on a selection via the display device.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the processor is further configured to perform verifying that the vehicle is parked prior to outputting the content-sharing session to the display device associated with the vehicle.
