Abstract

A positive electrode active material composition, a water-based positive electrode slurry, a positive electrode plate, a secondary battery, and an electrical device are disclosed. The positive electrode active material composition includes a first positive electrode active material, a second positive electrode active material, and a third positive electrode active material, the first positive electrode active material has a volume average particle size Dv50 denoted as A1 in μm, with A1 satisfying 0.2≤A1≤0.8; the second positive electrode active material has a volume average particle size Dv50 denoted as A2 in μm, with A2 satisfying 1.0≤A2≤2.5; and the third positive electrode active material has a volume average particle size Dv50 denoted as A3 in μm, with A3 satisfying 3.0≤A3≤6.0. The positive electrode plate of the present application has both a higher compaction density and a lower water content.

Claims (42)

1 . A positive electrode active material composition, comprising a first positive electrode active material, a second positive electrode active material, and a third positive electrode active material, wherein the first positive electrode active material has a volume average particle size Dv50 denoted as A1 in μm, with A1 satisfying 0.2≤A1≤0.8;

the second positive electrode active material has a volume average particle size Dv50 denoted as A2 in μm, with A2 satisfying 1.0≤A2≤2.5; and

the third positive electrode active material has a volume average particle size Dv50 denoted as A3 in μm, with A3 satisfying 3.0≤A≤6.0.

2 . The positive electrode active material composition according to claim 1 , wherein

4≤A3/A1≤ 20, and optionally 5≤A3/A1≤15; and/or,

1.6≤A3/A2≤6.0, and optionally 2.0≤A3/A2≤4.0; and/or,

1.5≤A2/A1≤7.5, and optionally 1.8≤A2/A1≤6.5.

3 . The positive electrode active material composition according to claim 1 , wherein

the first positive electrode active material has a mass percentage content denoted as w1 of from 60% to 80%,

the second positive electrode active material has a mass percentage content denoted as w2 of from 10% to 40%,

the third positive electrode active material has a mass percentage content denoted as w3 of from 7% to 15%,

based on the total mass 100% of the positive electrode active material composition.

4 . The positive electrode active material composition according to claim 3 , wherein 5≤w1/w3≤11, and optionally 6≤w1/w3≤9.

5 . The positive electrode active material composition according to claim 1 , wherein the positive electrode active material composition satisfies at least one of the following conditions from (1) to (8):

(1) the first positive electrode active material, the second positive electrode active material, and the third positive electrode active material each independently includes at least one of lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese phosphate, lithium cobalt phosphate, lithium iron manganese phosphate, lithium cobalt oxide, lithium nickel oxide, lithium manganese oxide, lithium nickel cobalt oxide, lithium manganese cobalt oxide, lithium nickel manganese oxide, lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide, lithium nickel cobalt aluminum oxide, and the modified compound thereof; and optionally, the first positive electrode active material, the second positive electrode active material, and the third positive electrode active material each independently includes at least one selected from the group consisting of lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese phosphate, lithium cobalt phosphate, lithium iron manganese phosphate, or the modified compounds thereof;

(2) the first positive electrode active material, the second positive electrode active material, and the third positive electrode active material have identical material;

(3) the first positive electrode active material is provided with a conductive carbon layer on the surface thereof;

(4) the second positive electrode active material is provided with a conductive carbon layer on the surface thereof;

(5) the third positive electrode active material is provided with a conductive carbon layer on the surface thereof;

(6) the first positive electrode active material mainly includes a primary particle structure;

(7) the second positive electrode active material mainly includes a primary particle structure; or

(8) the third positive electrode active material mainly includes a secondary particle structure.

6 . A water-based positive electrode slurry, comprising a solid component and water as the solvent, wherein the solid component comprises a water-based binder and a positive electrode active material composition according to claim 1 .

The water-based positive electrode slurry according to claim 6 , wherein the water-based binder comprises at least one of acrylonitrile copolymers, polyethylene imine, polyacrylic acid, polymethyl acrylic acid, polyacrylamide, polyethylene oxide, polyvinyl alcohol, sodium alginate, carboxymethyl chitosan, or sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.

A positive electrode plate, comprising a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode film layer arranged on the positive electrode current collector, wherein the positive electrode film layer comprises a water-based binder and a positive electrode active material composition according to claim 1 .

9 . A positive electrode plate, comprising a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode film layer arranged on the positive electrode current collector, wherein the positive electrode film layer is formed by drying the water-based positive electrode slurry according to claim 6 .

10 . The positive electrode plate according to claim 8 , wherein

as shown in the cross-sectional image of the positive electrode film layer obtained from scanning electron microscope,

the particles of the first positive electrode active material have a longest diagonal length denoted as a1 in μm, with a1 satisfying 0.2≤a1≤1.2, and have an average distance between the centers of the adjacent particles of the first positive electrode active material denoted as L1 in μm, with L1 satisfying 0≤L1≤1.0;

the particles of the second positive electrode active material have a longest diagonal length denoted as a2 in μm, with a2 satisfying 1.5≤a2≤2.7, and have an average distance between the centers of the adjacent particles of the second positive electrode active material denoted as L2 in μm, with L3 satisfying 0.5≤L2≤2.5; and

the particles of the third positive electrode active material have a longest diagonal length denoted as a3 in μm, with a3 satisfying 3.2≤a3≤8.0, and have an average distance between the centers of the adjacent particles of the third positive electrode active material denoted as L3 in μm, with L3 satisfying 05.0≤L3≤80.0.

11 . The positive electrode plate according to claim 9 , wherein

as shown in the cross-sectional image of the positive electrode film layer obtained from scanning electron microscope,

the particles of the first positive electrode active material have a longest diagonal length denoted as a1 in μm, with a1 satisfying 0.2≤a1≤1.2, and have an average distance between the centers of the adjacent particles of the first positive electrode active material denoted as L1 in μm, with L1 satisfying 0≤L1≤1.0;

the particles of the second positive electrode active material have a longest diagonal length denoted as a2 in μm, with a2 satisfying 1.5≤a2≤2.7, and have an average distance between the centers of the adjacent particles of the second positive electrode active material denoted as L2 in μm, with L3 satisfying 0.5≤L2≤2.5; and

the particles of the third positive electrode active material have a longest diagonal length denoted as a3 in μm, with a3 satisfying 3.2≤a3≤ 8.0, and have an average distance between the centers of the adjacent particles of the third positive electrode active material denoted as L3 in μm, with L3 satisfying 05.0≤L3≤80.0.

12 . The positive electrode plate according to claim 8 , wherein the positive electrode plate has a compaction density of ≥2.50 g/cm 3 , and has a water content of ≤400 ppm, and optionally ≤365 ppm, after vacuum drying at 90° C. for 6 hours.

13 . The positive electrode plate according to claim9, wherein the positive electrode plate has a compaction density of ≥2.50 g/cm 3 , and has a water content of ≤400 ppm, and optionally ≤365 ppm, after vacuum drying at 90° C. for 6 hours.

14 . A secondary battery, comprising the positive electrode plate according to claim 8 .

15 . A secondary battery, comprising the positive electrode plate according to claim 9 .

16 . An electrical device, comprising a secondary battery according to claim 14 .

17 . An electrical device, comprising a secondary battery according to claim 15 .
