Abstract

An interactive search method is disclosed, utilizing a browser-based interface and generative artificial intelligence to enhance user search experiences. The method involves receiving an initial search query from a user, generating a proposed search result via hardware processors, and displaying the result to the user. To refine search accuracy, the method recommends clarifying questions, soliciting additional search parameters. Upon receiving an updated search query, the system interactively refines the initial query and displays an updated search result. This process allows for dynamic query adjustment and improved search result relevance in real-time.

Claims (59)

1 . A system comprising:

one or more hardware processors of a machine; and

at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:

receiving, from an interface, search parameter input, the search parameter input including an initial search query;

generating, by the one or more hardware processors, a proposed search result based on the initial search query;

displaying, by the interface, the proposed search result;

recommending one or more clarifying questions to the user soliciting an additional search parameter;

receiving, from the interface, adjusted search parameter input, the adjusted search parameter input including an updated search query and an updated proposed search result;

interactively refining the initial search query based on the adjusted search parameter; and

displaying, by the interface, the updated proposed search result responsive to the updated search query.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the interface is configured to provide real-time updates to the proposed search result as a user interacts with the interface, wherein the interface is a browser-based interface.

3 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

adjusting one or more search parameters based on input indicative of one or more interactions with an interactive interface element of the interface.

4 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

employing natural language processing techniques to interpret the initial search query and the adjusted search parameter.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the updated proposed search result is displayed in a non-linear format that includes multimedia elements generated by a generative artificial intelligence model, and wherein the adjusted search parameter includes at least one of an adjusted source type, an adjusted source trust level, or an adjusted document type.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more clarifying questions are generated based on a context of the initial search query as determined by a task-specific generative model.

7 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

utilizing a generative artificial intelligence model to assist in generating the proposed search result, wherein the generative artificial intelligence model comprises a fine-tuned version of a pre-trained large language model;

utilizing the fine-tuned version of the pre-trained large language model to predict user intent; and

refining the updated proposed search result based on the predicted user intent.

8 . A method comprising:

receiving, from an interface, search parameter input, the search parameter input including an initial search query;

generating, by the one or more hardware processors, a proposed search result based on the initial search query;

displaying, by the interface, the proposed search result;

recommending one or more clarifying questions to the user soliciting an additional search parameter;

receiving, from the interface, adjusted search parameter input, the adjusted search parameter input including an updated search query and an updated proposed search result;

interactively refining the initial search query based on the adjusted search parameter; and

displaying, by the interface, the updated proposed search result responsive to the updated search query.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the interface is configured to provide real-time updates to the proposed search result as a user interacts with the interface, wherein the interface is a browser-based interface.

10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

adjusting one or more search parameters based on input indicative of one or more interactions with an interactive interface element of the interface.

11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

employing natural language processing techniques to interpret the initial search query and the adjusted search parameter.

The method of claim 8 , wherein the updated proposed search result is displayed in a non-linear format that includes multimedia elements generated by a generative artificial intelligence model, and wherein the adjusted search parameter includes at least one of an adjusted source type, an adjusted source trust level, or an adjusted document type.

13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more clarifying questions are generated based on a context of the initial search query as determined by a task-specific generative model.

14 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

utilizing a generative artificial intelligence model to assist in generating the proposed search result, wherein the generative artificial intelligence model comprises a fine-tuned version of a pre-trained large language model;

utilizing the fine-tuned version of the pre-trained large language model to predict user intent; and

refining the updated proposed search result based on the predicted user intent.

15 . A machine-storage medium embodying instructions that, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

receiving, from an interface, search parameter input, the search parameter input including an initial search query;

generating, by the one or more hardware processors, a proposed search result based on the initial search query;

displaying, by the interface, the proposed search result;

recommending one or more clarifying questions to the user soliciting an additional search parameter;

receiving, from the interface, adjusted search parameter input, the adjusted search parameter input including an updated search query and an updated proposed search result;

interactively refining the initial search query based on the adjusted search parameter; and

displaying, by the interface, the updated proposed search result responsive to the updated search query.

16 . The machine-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

adjusting one or more search parameters based on input indicative of one or more interactions with an interactive interface element of the interface, wherein the based interface is configured to provide real-time updates to the proposed search result as a user interacts with the interface, and wherein the interface is a browser-based interface.

17 . The machine-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

employing natural language processing techniques to interpret the initial search query and the adjusted search parameter.

18 . The machine-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

employing natural language processing techniques to interpret the initial search query and the adjusted search parameter.

The machine-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the updated proposed search result is displayed in a non-linear format that includes multimedia elements generated by a generative artificial intelligence model, and wherein the adjusted search parameter includes at least one of an adjusted source type, an adjusted source trust level, or an adjusted document type.

20 . The machine-storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

utilizing a generative artificial intelligence model to assist in generating the proposed search result, wherein the generative artificial intelligence model comprises a fine-tuned version of a pre-trained large language model;

utilizing the fine-tuned version of the pre-trained large language model to predict user intent; and

refining the updated proposed search result based on the predicted user intent.
