Abstract

A method may include obtaining a first audio signal including first speech originating at a remote device during a communication session between the remote device and a communication device and obtaining a second audio signal including second speech originating at the communication device during the communication session between the remote device and the communication device. The method may also include obtaining a characteristic of the communication session from one or more of: the first audio signal, the second audio signal, and settings of the communication device and determining a hearing level of a user of the communication device using the characteristic of the communication session.

Claims (23)

1 . A method comprising:

obtaining an audio signal including speech obtained at a device during an audio session;

obtaining a characteristic of the audio session from one or more of: the audio signal and settings of the device;

determining a hearing level of a user of the device using the characteristic of the audio session; and

in response to the determined hearing level, adjusting a visual presentation provided by the device to the user that includes presenting information regarding a medical professional.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising obtaining a second audio signal including speech, the second audio signal obtained at the device during the audio session, wherein the characteristic is obtained from one or more of: the audio signal, the second audio signal, and the settings of the device.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the visual presentation includes a transcription of the second audio signal obtained at the device.

4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the information regarding the medical professional includes information regarding scheduling an appointment for the medical professional.

5 . A device comprising:

one or more processors;

one or more computer-readable media coupled to the one or more processors, the one or more computer-readable media configured to store instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the device to perform operations, the operations comprising:

obtaining an audio signal including speech obtained at the device during an audio session;

obtaining a characteristic of the audio session from one or more of: the audio signal and settings of the device;

determining a hearing level of a user of the device using the characteristic of the audio session; and

in response to the determined hearing level, adjusting a visual presentation provided by the device to the user that includes presenting information regarding products determined to be applicable to the user.

The device of claim 5 , wherein the operations further comprise obtaining a second audio signal including speech, the second audio signal obtained at the device during the audio session, wherein the characteristic is obtained from one or more of: the audio signal, the second audio signal, and the settings of the device.

7 . A method comprising:

obtaining an audio signal including speech obtained at a device during an audio session;

obtaining a characteristic of the audio session from one or more of: the audio signal and settings of the device;

determining a hearing level of a user of the device using the characteristic of the audio session; and

in response to the determined hearing level, adjusting a visual presentation provided by the device to the user that includes presenting a transcription of words spoken during the audio session.

The method of claim 7 , further comprising obtaining a second audio signal including speech, the second audio signal obtained at the device during the audio session, wherein the characteristic is obtained from one or more of: the audio signal, the second audio signal, and the settings of the device.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the visual presentation includes a transcription of the second audio signal obtained at the device.
