Anti-cheating methods in an extended reality environment
A method for detecting cheating by a first user engaging in an examination activity in an extended reality (XR) environment includes creating an audiovisual recording while the first user is engaged in the examination activity in the XR environment and displaying an interactive version of the recording to a second user to review for possible cheating by the first user during the examination activity.
1. A method to detect cheating on an examination activity in an extended reality environment comprising:
creating an audiovisual recording of a first user engaging in the examination activity in the extended reality environment, wherein the first user is wearing extended reality hardware; and
displaying an interactive version of the audiovisual recording of the first user engaging in the examination activity in the extended reality environment to a second user wearing extended reality hardware, wherein the interactive version of the audiovisual recording includes one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination that the second user can at least one of see or hear.
2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising automatically flagging one or more suspected cheating occurrences of the first user in the interactive version of the audiovisual recording.
3. The method of claim 2 , wherein said flagging includes at least one of timestamping and bookmarking.
4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes facial expression.
5. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes hand movement.
6. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes writing on virtual scratch paper.
7. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes stroke inputs to a virtual calculator.
8. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes what and when virtual tools are used.
9. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes speaking by the first user.
10. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes the first user changing an answer to a problem or question of the examination activity.
11. The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes the first user hesitating to provide an answer to a problem or question of the examination activity.
12. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes facial expression.
13. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes hand movement.
14. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes writing on virtual scratch paper.
15. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes stroke inputs to a virtual calculator.
16. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes what and when virtual tools are used.
17. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes speaking by the first user.
18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the speaking by the first user includes narration of an answer to a problem or question of the examination activity.
19. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes the first user changing an answer to a problem or question of the examination activity.
20. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more characteristics or actions of the first user exhibited in the extended reality environment during the examination activity includes the first user hesitating to provide an answer to a problem or question of the examination activity.
