Abstract

According to one embodiment, a medical diagnostic apparatus includes processing circuitry and display circuitry. The processing circuitry estimates a position of a structure in a subject based on data obtained by scanning with respect to the subject and analyzes tissue characterization in the subject. The display circuitry displays an analysis result of the tissue characterization obtained by the processing circuitry with respect to a plurality of positions in the subject except for the estimated structure position.

Claims (28)

1 . An ultrasonic image display apparatus, comprising:

processing circuitry configured to

perform an ultrasonic scanning of a subject;

calculate, at each of a first plurality of positions in a scanning region subjected to the ultrasonic scanning, an index value representing a reliability of parameters of tissue characterization in the subject; and

display a superimposition image and scale information side by side, the superimposition image being an image in which a color phase corresponding to the index value is superimposed at each of the first plurality of positions in the scanning region in the ultrasonic image obtained based on a result of the ultrasonic scanning, the scale information presenting a relationship between the color phase and the index value.

2 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to:

calculate the index value representing the reliability at a second plurality of positions within a region of interest that is set in the scanning region; and

display the ultrasonic image in which the color phase in accordance with the index value is superimposed at the second plurality of positions in the region of interest in the ultrasonic image.

3 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to calculate the index value representing the reliability, which is a variance ratio based on a variance value and a mean value of a plurality of pixel values, the variance ratio corresponding to the plurality of positions in the scanning region respectively.

4 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to calculate the variance ratio, which is a ratio of an actually measured variance value calculated from the plurality of pixel values to a variance value obtained on an assumption that the plurality of pixel values form a Rayleigh distribution having the mean value.

5 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to;

identify a position of a structure based on the index value representing the reliability and a predetermined threshold; and

not display the position of the structure or mask the position of the structure with a predetermined color phase.

6 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to:

calculate, at a second plurality of positions in the scanning region, an attenuation index value relating to an amount of attenuation of an ultrasonic wave, by analyzing the result of the ultrasonic scanning; and

display a second color phase in accordance with the attenuation index value in a region not including the structure in the scanning region of the ultrasonic image.

7 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to:

calculate an attenuation index value relating to an amount of attenuation at a second plurality of positions in a region of interest that is set in the scanning region;

calculate a representative value that represents a plurality of the calculated attenuation index values included in the region of interest; and

display the representative value together with the region of interest.

8 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to calculate the representative value, which is at least one of a mean value, a median, or a mode of the plurality of attenuation index values.

9 . The ultrasonic image display apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to:

calculate, as the tissue characterization, at least one of a viscosity index value representing a viscosity of tissue in the subject or an elasticity index value representing an elasticity of the tissue; and

display the color phase in accordance with at least one of the viscosity index value or the elasticity index value in a region not including the structure in the scanning region of the ultrasonic image.

10 . An ultrasonic wave displaying method, comprising:

performing an ultrasonic scanning of a subject;

calculating, at each of a plurality of positions in a scanning region subjected to the ultrasonic scanning, an index value representing a reliability relating to parameters of tissue characterization in the subject; and

displaying a superimposition image and scale information side by side, the superimposition image being an image in which a color phase corresponding to the index value is superimposed at each of the first plurality of positions in the scanning region in the ultrasonic image based on a result of the ultrasonic scanning, the scale information presenting a relationship between the color phase and the index value.
