Abstract

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to control auditing devices, comprising a communications interface to transmit first auditing instructions to the auditing devices, a sampling frequency determiner to collect sampling information corresponding to a first number of stores at a first time, a a sample size determiner to calculate a second number of stores to sample based on the sampling information, and when a difference between the first number of stores and the second number of stores satisfies a threshold, improve an accuracy in the sampling information by calculating second auditing instructions having an updated sampling frequency.

Claims (23)

1 .- 32 . (canceled)

33 . An apparatus comprising:

interface circuitry;

machine-readable instructions; and

at least one processor circuit to be programmed by the machine-readable instructions to:

set a first sample size audit instruction based on a first quantity of data sources at a first time;

cause transmission of the first sample size audit instruction to node devices via a network, the node devices to execute the first sample size audit instruction to capture data corresponding to a first sample size;

determine a second quantity of the data sources at a second time after the first time;

determine a difference between the first quantity and the second quantity satisfies a threshold;

determine a second sample size audit instruction based on the second quantity; and

cause transmission of the second sample size audit instruction to the node devices via the network, the node devices to execute the second sample size audit instruction to cause the node devices to capture data corresponding to a second sample size.

34 . The apparatus as defined in claim 33 , wherein one or more of the at least one processor circuit is to cause transmission of the first sample size audit instruction to first ones of the node devices associated with a first geographic location and cause transmission of the second sample size audit instruction to second ones of the node devices associated with a second geographic location.

35 . The apparatus as defined in claim 33 , wherein one or more of the at least one processor circuit is to determine the second sample size audit instruction based on the difference and a target error value.

36 . The apparatus as defined in claim 33 , wherein the node devices include a robotic data collector, one or more of the at least one processor circuit is to deploy the robotic data collector to acquire the data at the second sample size.

37 . At least one non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising machine-readable instructions to cause at least one processor circuit to at least:

set a first sample size audit instruction based on a first quantity of data sources at a first time;

cause transmission of the first sample size audit instruction to node devices via a network, the node devices to execute the first sample size audit instruction to capture data corresponding to a first sample size;

determine a second quantity of the data sources at a second time after the first time;

determine a difference between the first quantity and the second quantity satisfies a threshold;

determine a second sample size audit instruction based on the second quantity; and

cause transmission of the second sample size audit instruction to the node devices via the network, the node devices to execute the second sample size audit instruction to cause the node devices to capture data corresponding to a second sample size.

38 . The at least one non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 37 , wherein the machine-readable instructions are to cause one or more of the at least one processor circuit to cause transmission of the first sample size audit instruction to first ones of the node devices associated with a first geographic location and cause transmission of the second sample size audit instruction to second ones of the node devices associated with a second geographic location.

39 . The at least one non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 37 , wherein the machine-readable instructions are to cause one or more of the at least one processor circuit to deploy the node devices as robotic data collectors, the robotic data collectors to acquire the data at the second sample size.
