Abstract

A medical diagnostic kit are described. In one example, a medical diagnostic kit includes a container, and a plurality of medical diagnostic test kits located within the container. Each of the plurality of medical diagnostic test kits can include equipment necessary to perform a particular self-administered medical diagnostic test. The plurality of medical diagnostic test kits can include at least a first medical diagnostic kit adapted to facilitate user completion of a first medical diagnostic test and a second medical diagnostic kit adapted to facilitate user completion of a second medical diagnostic test different from the first medical diagnostic test. The container can include a machine-readable code located on an external surface of the container.

Claims (45)

1. A computing system for an electronically proctored platform for medical procedures integrating identity verification, the computing system comprising an electronic storage medium storing computer-executable instructions and one or more processors configured to execute the computer-executable instructions for implementing the electronically proctored platform by:

receiving, by the computing system, a user request from a user computing device of a user for an electronic remotely proctored medical procedure using a medical kit comprising a machine-readable code that encodes information about the medical kit, the user computing device of the user connected to the computing system via an electronic communications network the user request comprising a scan of the machine-readable code;

decoding, by the computing system, the scan of the machine-readable code to extract the information about the medical kit;

establishing, by the computing system via the electronic communications network, an electronic video conference session between a proctor device and the user computing device, wherein the electronic video conference session comprises a live electronic video stream of the user performing a medical procedure;

based on the information about the medical kit, transmitting illustrative video content to the user computing device containing instructions related to completion of the medical procedure using the medical kit;

causing the user computing device to initiate an illustrative experience associated with the medical kit during the electronic video conference session, wherein the illustrative experience provides the instructions related to the completion of the medical procedure;

verifying, by the computing system, that an identity of the user remained valid by:

calculating, by the computing system, a distance between a first position of one or more facial elements of the user in a first frame obtained from the live electronic video stream and a second position of the one or more facial elements of the user in a subsequent frame obtained from the live electronic video stream; and

verifying, by the computing system, that the distance is below a predetermined threshold value to determine that the user remained in a field of view of at least one camera during an entirety of the medical procedure; and

dynamically verifying, by the computing system, that the medical procedure is completed by the user.

2. The computing system of claim 1 , further comprising causing display of medical procedure information regarding the medical procedure to a proctor on the proctor device.

3. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the machine-readable code, when scanned by the user computing device, connects the user to the electronically proctored platform.

4. The computing system of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, with the user request, material for performing the medical procedure.

5. The computing system of claim 4 , further comprising verifying, by the computing system, that no kit switching occurred by:

identifying, by the computing system utilizing a computer vision algorithm, the medical kit in the first frame obtained from the live electronic video stream; and

identifying, by the computing system utilizing the computer vision algorithm, the medical kit substantially continuously in subsequent frames obtained from the live electronic video stream to determine that the medical kit remained in the field of view of the at least one camera during the medical procedure.

6. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein dynamically verifying comprises determining that a sample is collected from the user.

7. The computing system of claim 4 , wherein dynamically verifying comprises determining that the medical procedure is performed using the medical kit.

8. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the machine-readable code is a QR code.

9. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the machine-readable code is a bar code.

10. The computing system of claim 1 , wherein dynamically verifying comprises detecting a change in a network connection stability between the user computing device and the proctor device during the electronic video conference session.

11. A method for an electronically proctored platform for medical procedures integrating identity verification, the method comprising:

receiving, by the computing system, a user request from a user computing device of a user for an electronic remotely proctored medical procedure using a medical kit comprising a machine-readable code that encodes information about the medical kit, the user computing device of the user connected to the computing system via an electronic communications network the user request comprising a scan of the machine-readable code;

decoding, by the computing system, the scan of the machine-readable code to extract the information about the medical kit;

establishing, by the computing system via the electronic communications network, an electronic video conference session between a proctor device and the user computing device, wherein the electronic video conference session comprises a live electronic video stream of the user performing a medical procedure;

based on the information about the medical kit, transmitting illustrative video content to the user computing device containing instructions related to completion of the medical procedure using the medical kit;

causing the user computing device to initiate an illustrative experience associated with the medical kit during the electronic video conference session, wherein the illustrative experience provides the instructions related to the completion of the medical procedure;

verifying, by the computing system, that an identity of the user remained valid by:

calculating, by the computing system, a distance between a first position of one or more facial elements of the user in a first frame obtained from the live electronic video stream and a second position of the one or more facial elements of the user in a subsequent frame obtained from the live electronic video stream; and

verifying, by the computing system, that the distance is below a predetermined threshold value to determine that the user remained in a field of view of at least one camera during an entirety of the medical procedure; and

dynamically verifying, by the computing system, that the medical procedure is completed by the user.

12. The method of claim 11 , further comprising causing display of medical procedure information regarding the medical procedure to a proctor on the proctor device.

13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the machine-readable code, when scanned by the user computing device, connects the user to the electronically proctored platform.

14. The method of claim 11 , wherein dynamically verifying comprises verifying a first unique identifier of the medical kit at a first time.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein dynamically verifying further comprises:

verifying a second unique identifier of the medical kit at a second time; and

determining that the second unique identifier matches the first unique identifier.

16. The method of claim 11 , wherein dynamically verifying comprises determining that a sample is collected from the user.

17. The method of claim 14 , wherein dynamically verifying comprises determining that the medical procedure was performed using the medical kit.

18. The method of claim 11 , wherein the machine-readable code is a QR code.

19. The method of claim 11 , further comprising receiving, with the user request, sample collection material for performing the medical procedure.

20. The method of claim 19 , further comprising verifying, by the computing system, that no kit switching occurred by:

identifying, by the computing system utilizing a computer vision algorithm, the medical kit in the first frame obtained from the live electronic video stream; and

identifying, by the computing system utilizing the computer vision algorithm, the medical kit substantially continuously in subsequent frames obtained from the live electronic video stream to determine that the medical kit remained in the field of view of the at least one

camera during the medical procedure.
