Abstract

An advertisement display method of displaying an advertisement transmitted from a server in a terminal of a user including receiving, from the server, first video data being a part of video data of the advertisement, controlling to activate the application in response to selection of the application by the user, displaying a first display based on the first video data in a display region of the terminal while the application is active, receiving, from the server, second video data being different from the first video data included in the video data of the advertisement, based on reception of the first video data, and displaying a second display based on the second video data in the display region, in association with the first display in the display region may be provided.

Claims (42)

1. An advertisement display method for displaying an advertisement on a display of a terminal, comprising:

controlling, by a processor of the terminal, to activate an application;

receiving, by a communication interface of the terminal, first video data being part of video data of a first advertisement from a server;

controlling, by the processor, to play the first video data on a first region of the activated application;

starting, by the communication interface, receiving second video data being part of the video data of the first advertisement from the server in response to the playing the first video data not being stopped according to an operation of a user of the terminal;

starting, by the communication interface, receiving third video data being part of video data of a second advertisement in response to the playing the first video data being stopped according to the operation of the user of the terminal; and

stopping, by the communication interface, reception of the second video data, in response to the receiving the third video data being started while the second video data is being received from the server,

wherein the stopping playing the first video data includes at least one of

i) stopping the playing the first video data according to an input of the user to stop the advertisement, and

ii) stopping the playing the first video data according to a scroll operation of the user so as to make the first region move out of a display range of the display.

2. The advertisement display method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

controlling, by the processor, to play the second video data on the first region based on a state that the first region is included in the display range of the display in response to the second video data being received from the server.

3. The advertisement display method according to claim 2 , wherein

the second video data is video data succeeding the first video data, and

the playing the second video data is performed by the processor after the first video data is played on the first region.

4. The advertisement display method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

controlling, by the processor, to play the third video data on a second region that is associated with the application in response to the third video data being received by the communication interface from the server.

5. The advertisement display method according to claim 4 , further comprising:

controlling, by the processor, to automatically play the third video data on the second region in response to the second region being included in the display range of the display according to the scroll operation of the user.

6. The advertisement display method according to claim 1 , further comprising:

starting, by the communication interface, receiving the third video data when the first region is moved out of the display range of the display according to the scroll operation.

7. A terminal having a display being capable of communicating with a server, comprising:

a processor configured to activate an application; and

a communication interface configured to receive first video data being part of video data of a first advertisement from the server,

wherein

the processor is configured to start playing the first video data on a first region on the activated application,

the communication interface is configured to start receiving second video data being part of the video data of the first advertisement from the server when the playing the first video data is not stopped according to an operation of a user of the terminal,

the communication interface is configured to start receiving third video data being part of video data of a second advertisement from the server when the playing the first video data is stopped according to the operation of the user of the terminal,

the communication interface is configured to stop receipt of the second video data, in response to the receiving the third video data being started while the second video data is being received from the server, and

the stopping the playing the first video data includes at least one of

i) stopping the playing the first video data according to an input of the user to stop the advertisement, and

ii) stopping the playing the first video data according to a scroll operation of the user so as to make the first region move out of a display range of the display.

8. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program, which when executed by at least one processor, causes a terminal to implement an advertisement display method for displaying an advertisement on a display of the terminal, the method comprising:

controlling, by a processor of the terminal, to activate an application;

receiving, by a communication interface of the terminal, first video data being part of video data of a first advertisement from a server;

controlling, by the processor, to play the first video data on a first region on the activated application;

starting, by the communication interface, receiving second video data being part of the video data of the first advertisement from the server when playing the first video data not being stopped according to an operation of a user of the terminal;

starting, by the communication interface, receiving third video data being part of video data of a second advertisement in response to playing the first video data being stopped according to the operation of the user of the terminal; and

stopping, by the communication interface, reception of the second video data, in response to the receiving the third video data being started while the second video data is being received from the server,

wherein the stopping playing the first video data includes at least one of

i) stopping the playing the first video data according to an input of the user to stop the advertisement, and

ii) stopping the playing the first video data according to a scroll operation of the user so as to make the first region move out of a display range of the display.
