Abstract

A renal therapy system is disclosed. In an example, the renal therapy system includes a home renal therapy machine that stores, to a log file, dates of when renal therapies were performed and a type of each renal therapy that was performed. The system also includes a server that receives the log file from the home renal therapy machine. The server compares the dates and types of performed renal therapies stored in the log file to a device program that specifies dates for performing renal therapies and the types of renal therapies to be performed. The server displays a flag in a user interface of a clinician computer when there is a deviation from the comparison.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the device program further specifies, for each renal therapy, (a) a fill volume for each cycle of the respective renal therapy and a number of cycles to be performed for the respective renal therapy; and

wherein the at least one processor is configured to store to the log file (b) a fill volume for each cycle of the performed renal therapy.

4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the server is further configured to:

compare (a) to (b); and

display a second flag in the user interface of the clinician computer when there is a deviation from the comparison of (a) to (b).

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the device program further specifies, for each renal therapy, (a) an amount of ultrafiltrate (“UF”) to be removed for the respective renal therapy; and

wherein the at least one processor is configured to store to the log file (b) an estimated amount of ultrafiltrate (“UF”) removed for each cycle of the performed renal therapy.

6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the server is further configured to: compare (a) to (b); and

display a second flag in the user interface of the clinician computer when there is a deviation from the comparison of (a) to (b).

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the device program further specifies which of the renal therapies can be modified by the patient, and

10. A renal therapy system comprising:

a home renal therapy machine configured to perform a renal therapy on a patient at a home or dwelling of the patient, the home renal therapy machine including:

a dialysis fluid pump,

a memory device configured to store:

a device program specifying dates renal therapies are to be performed,

a log file configured to store a date of when each renal therapy was performed by the home renal therapy machine, and

at least one processor operable with the memory device and configured to:

control the dialysis fluid pump to perform the renal therapies,

store to the log file a date of when each renal therapy was performed, and

operate a connectivity agent that has an activated mode and a deactivated mode,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to cause the connectivity agent to go into the deactivated mode during the renal therapies,
