Abstract

A method is implemented by a wireless power system. The wireless power system includes a wireless power transmitter and a wireless power receiver. The method includes receiving, by the wireless power transmitter of the wireless power system, beacon signals transmitted from the wireless power receiver of the wireless power system. The method includes adding, by the wireless power transmitter, phases for each port of the wireless power receiver based upon the beacon signals. The method includes generating, by the wireless power transmitter, a high power signal based on adding of the phases. The method includes transmitting, by the wireless power transmitter, the high power signal to the wireless power receiver.

Claims (30)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless power transmitter of a wireless power system, one or more beacon signals transmitted from a plurality of wireless power receivers of the wireless power system;

transmitting, by the wireless power transmitter, a plurality of high power signals to the plurality of wireless power receivers;

determining, by the wireless power transmitter, whether a first wireless power receiver of the plurality of wireless power receivers has moved based upon the one or more beacon signals;

generating, by the wireless power transmitter, a power of a first high power signal of the plurality of high power signals based on whether the first wireless power receiver has moved; and

transmitting, by the wireless power transmitter, the first high power signal to the wireless power receiver.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power transmitter raises the power of the first high power signal based on an increased distance of between the first wireless power receiver and the wireless power transmitter.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power transmitter lowers the power of the first high power signal based on a reduced distance of between the first wireless power receiver and the wireless power transmitter.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power transmits the plurality of high power signals in time division fashion.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power transmits more power to one the first wireless power receiver than to other receivers of the plurality of wireless power receivers.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power transmits the first high power signal at the power for a first duration.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power utilizes time from other receivers of the plurality of wireless power receivers to divert the power for the first high power signal to the first wireless power receiver.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power utilizes excess time to provide the power for the first high power signal to the first wireless power receiver.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless power transmitter determines a distance between the wireless power transmitter and the wireless power receiver based upon the one or more beacon signals to determine whether the first wireless power receiver has moved.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a device to be charged comprises the wireless power receiver.

11 . A wireless power transmitter of a wireless power system configured to:

receive one or more beacon signals transmitted from a plurality of wireless power receivers of the wireless power system;

transmit a plurality of high power signals to the plurality of wireless power receivers;

determine whether a first wireless power receiver of the plurality of wireless power receivers has moved based upon the one or more beacon signals;

generate a power of a first high power signal of the plurality of high power signals based on whether the first wireless power receiver has moved; and

transmit the first high power signal to the wireless power receiver.

12 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power transmitter raises the power of the first high power signal based on an increased distance of between the first wireless power receiver and the wireless power transmitter.

13 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power transmitter lowers the power of the first high power signal based on a reduced distance of between the first wireless power receiver and the wireless power transmitter.

14 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power transmits the plurality of high power signals in time division fashion.

15 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power transmits more power to one the first wireless power receiver than to other receivers of the plurality of wireless power receivers.

16 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power transmits the first high power signal at the power for a first duration.

17 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power utilizes time from other receivers of the plurality of wireless power receivers to divert the power for the first high power signal to the first wireless power receiver.

18 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power utilizes excess time to provide the power for the first high power signal to the first wireless power receiver.

19 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein the wireless power transmitter determines a distance between the wireless power transmitter and the wireless power receiver based upon the one or more beacon signals to determine whether the first wireless power receiver has moved.

20 . The wireless power transmitter of claim 11 , wherein a device to be charged comprises the wireless power receiver.
