Abstract

A base station transmits, to a wireless device, one or more radio resource control messages comprising at least one first power parameter indicating a first maximum total transmit power of a first group comprising one or more first cells of a first frequency band, and at least one second power parameter indicating a second maximum total transmit power of a second group comprising one or more second cells of a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. The base station receives one or more first signals via the first group and one or more second signals via the second group, wherein a first/second transmission power of at least one of the one or more first/second signals is scaled based on a first/second total power for transmission of the one or more first/second signals exceeding the first/second maximum total transmit power.

Claims (48)

1 . A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station to a wireless device, one or more radio resource control messages comprising:

at least one first power parameter indicating a first maximum total transmit power of a first group comprising one or more first cells of a first frequency band; and

at least one second power parameter indicating a second maximum total transmit power of a second group comprising one or more second cells of a second frequency band different from the first frequency band; and receiving:

one or more first signals via the first group, wherein a first transmission power of at least one of the one or more first signals is scaled based on a first total power for transmission of the one or more first signals exceeding the first maximum total transmit power; and

one or more second signals via the second group, wherein a second transmission power of at least one of the one or more second signals is scaled based on a second total power for transmission of the one or more second signals exceeding the second maximum total transmit power.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second transmission power is scaled independent of a value of the first total power.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first transmission power is scaled independent of a value of the second total power.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first frequency band operates according to a first radio access technology; and

the second frequency band operates according to a second radio access technology.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more first signals comprise at least one of:

one or more first sounding reference signals; or one or more first physical uplink shared channel signals.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first maximum total transmit power depends on a number of activated cells in the first group.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first transmission power of at least one of the one or more first signals is scaled based on a priority order of at least one of the one or more first signals.

8 . A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

transmit, to a wireless device, one or more radio resource control messages comprising:

at least one first power parameter indicating a first maximum total transmit power of a first group comprising one or more first cells of a first frequency band; and

at least one second power parameter indicating a second maximum total transmit power of a second group comprising one or more second cells of a second frequency band different from the first frequency band; and receive:

one or more first signals via the first group, wherein a first transmission power of at least one of the one or more first signals is scaled based on a first total power for transmission of the one or more first signals exceeding the first maximum total transmit power; and

one or more second signals via the second group, wherein a second transmission power of at least one of the one or more second signals is scaled based on a second total power for transmission of the one or more second signals exceeding the second maximum total transmit power.

9 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the second transmission power is scaled independent of a value of the first total power.

10 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the first transmission power is scaled independent of a value of the second total power.

11 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein:

the first frequency band operates according to a first radio access technology; and

the second frequency band operates according to a second radio access technology.

12 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the one or more first signals comprise at least one of:

one or more first sounding reference signals; or

one or more first physical uplink shared channel signals.

13 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the first maximum total transmit power depends on a number of activated cells in the first group.

14 . The base station of claim 8 , wherein the first transmission power of at least one of the one or more first signals is scaled based on a priority order of at least one of the one or more first signals.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a base station, cause the base station to:

transmit, to a wireless device, one or more radio resource control messages comprising:

at least one first power parameter indicating a first maximum total transmit power of a first group comprising one or more first cells of a first frequency band; and

at least one second power parameter indicating a second maximum total transmit power of a second group comprising one or more second cells of a second frequency band different from the first frequency band; and receive:

one or more first signals via the first group, wherein a first transmission power of at least one of the one or more first signals is scaled based on a first total power for transmission of the one or more first signals exceeding the first maximum total transmit power; and

one or more second signals via the second group, wherein a second transmission power of at least one of the one or more second signals is scaled based on a second total power for transmission of the one or more second signals exceeding the second maximum total transmit power.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the second transmission power is scaled independent of a value of the first total power.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the first transmission power is scaled independent of a value of the second total power.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein:

the first frequency band operates according to a first radio access technology; and

the second frequency band operates according to a second radio access technology.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the one or more first signals comprise at least one of:

one or more first sounding reference signals; or

one or more first physical uplink shared channel signals.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the first maximum total transmit power depends on a number of activated cells in the first group.
