Abstract

The present disclosure provides methods for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura, comprising the administration of ubrogepant. In particular, the present disclosure provides methods for the acute treatment of migraine in patients having hepatic impairment; in patients with renal impairment; and in patients concurrently taking CYP3A4 modulators or BCRP and/or P-gp only inhibitors.

Claims (7)

1. A method for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in a patient undergoing treatment with a moderate CYP3A4 inhibitor, the method comprising orally administering 50 mg ubrogepant to the patient, wherein the patient's migraine is safely and effectively treated.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the patient is not administered a second dose of ubrogepant within 24 hours following administration of the initial 50 mg dose.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the patient achieves freedom from at least one migraine symptom within 2 hours after the administration of said ubrogepant.

4. A method for the acute treatment of migraine with or without aura in a patient undergoing treatment with a weak CYP3A4 inhibitor, the method comprising orally administering 50 mg ubrogepant to the patient, wherein the patient's migraine is safely and effectively treated.

5. The method of claim 4 , comprising orally administering to the patient a second dose of 50 mg of ubrogepant at least 2 hours after the administration of the initial 50 mg of ubrogepant.

6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the second dose is administered to the patient between 2 and 24 hours after the administration of the initial 50 mg of ubrogepant.

7. The method of claim 4 , wherein the patient achieves freedom from at least one migraine symptom within 2 hours after the administration of said ubrogepant.
