Abstract

A system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations: comparing, by an electronic device, at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with a vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with one or more other vehicles within a threshold distance of the vehicle to determine a difference between the at least one parameter and the at least one additional parameter; and displaying, by the electronic device, the difference to the operator of the vehicle to notify the operator of the vehicle about the difference. Other embodiments are described.

Claims (51)

1 . A computer-implemented method for assessing vehicle operation, the method comprising:

comparing, by an electronic device, at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with a vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with one or more other vehicles within a threshold distance of the vehicle to determine a difference between the at least one parameter and the at least one additional parameter; and

displaying, by the electronic device, the difference to the operator of the vehicle to notify the operator of the vehicle about the difference.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile device or a computer server.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein comparing the at least one parameter of the set of telematics associated with the vehicle comprises:

calculating, by the electronic device, a degree of deviation between the at least one parameter associated with the vehicle and the at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles, wherein the degree of deviation comprises at least one of:

a percent difference between the parameters; or

an absolute difference between the parameters.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein displaying the difference to the operator of the vehicle comprises:

based on the difference to the operator of the vehicle, notifying the operator of the vehicle whether the vehicle is in relative compliance.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:

retrieving, by the electronic device, location data associated with real-time data comprising public safety data or weather information.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:

generating, by the electronic device, data visualization via an interactive user interface, wherein the data visualization comprises text, graphics, or selectable icons.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:

accumulating, using a combination of sensors of the electronic device, the set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and the additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles within the threshold distance of the vehicle, wherein the combination of sensors comprises internal sensors or external sensors.

8 . A system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

comparing, by an electronic device, at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with a vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with one or more other vehicles within a threshold distance of the vehicle to determine a difference between the at least one parameter and the at least one additional parameter; and

displaying, by the electronic device, the difference to the operator of the vehicle to notify the operator of the vehicle about the difference.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile device or a computer server.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein comparing the at least one parameter of the set of telematics associated with the vehicle comprises:

calculating, by the electronic device, a degree of deviation between the at least one parameter associated with the vehicle and the at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles, wherein the degree of deviation comprises at least one of:

a percent difference between the parameters; or

an absolute difference between the parameters.

11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein displaying the difference to the operator of the vehicle comprises:

based on the difference to the operator of the vehicle, notifying the operator of the vehicle whether the vehicle is in relative compliance.

12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:

retrieving, by the electronic device, location data associated with real-time data comprising public safety data or weather information.

13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:

generating, by the electronic device, data visualization via an interactive user interface, wherein the data visualization comprises text, graphics, or selectable icons.

14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise:

accumulating, using a combination of sensors of the electronic device, the set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and the additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles within the threshold distance of the vehicle, wherein the combination of sensors comprises internal sensors or external sensors.

15 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

comparing, by an electronic device, at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with a vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with one or more other vehicles within a threshold distance of the vehicle to determine a difference between the at least one parameter and the at least one additional parameter; and

displaying, by the electronic device, the difference to the operator of the vehicle to notify the operator of the vehicle about the difference.

16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile device or a computer server.

17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein comparing the at least one parameter of the set of telematics associated with the vehicle comprises:

calculating, by the electronic device, a degree of deviation between the at least one parameter associated with the vehicle and the at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles, wherein the degree of deviation comprises at least one of:

a percent difference between the parameters; or

an absolute difference between the parameters.

18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein displaying the difference to the operator of the vehicle comprises:

based on the difference to the operator of the vehicle, notifying the operator of the vehicle whether the vehicle is in relative compliance.

19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

generating, by the electronic device, data visualization via an interactive user interface, wherein the data visualization comprises text, graphics, or selectable icons.

20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:

accumulating, using a combination of sensors of the electronic device, the set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and the additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles within the threshold distance of the vehicle, wherein the combination of sensors comprises internal sensors or external sensors; and

retrieving, by the electronic device, location data associated with real-time data comprising public safety data or weather information.

21 . A system comprising:

a means for:

comparing, by an electronic device, at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with a vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with one or more other vehicles within a threshold distance of the vehicle to determine a difference between the at least one parameter and the at least one additional parameter; and

displaying, by the electronic device, the difference to the operator of the vehicle to notify the operator of the vehicle about the difference.
